The ONLY issues were the hot water- it doesn’t last long AND there was a leak coming from the range hood so we just kept a pot on the stove to catch the water. The community pool was amazing. “We brought 4 teens down for spring break (our son & 3 friends) and this home was perfect! The patio is huge and the views are beyond stunning. We even saw a SpaceX rocket launch one night! Sea lions frolic in the waves, we saw a gray whale & a seal while paddleboarding offshore, and surfed the waves right off the house. At low tide, you can walk quite a distance along the beach and explore tidal pools. We loved that it was walking distance to Puerto Nuevo and close to other surf breaks. The……

“This place was a DREAM!!! We had the best time here on my bachelorette. The pictures don’t do the place justice. Communication was great, and Eliaz helped us arrange golf cart rentals and groceries to be ready once we arrived. We are a close group of friends, so the open rooms for sleeping worked well for us, but other than the tree house room and separate guest house the rooms are open if that influences anyone’s selection. We had no issues with hot water and the AC worked well the throughout……

“The property itself is realy cool and unique, the cenote is awsome but to get there you have to drive off the path a bit maybe 10 to 15 min. On a dirt road with absolutely no light at night, communication was awsome and staff very helful, its secure but dont feel as secluded as i anticipared due to the other property being directly next to our loft, and you can pretty much see everything we are doing due to the glass walls, make sure you have mosquito repellent because you will definitely need……

“My husband and I have been to Isla a few times in the past and have always chosen to stay on the south side of the island and have never regretted it. This time we stayed at Casa Mariposa and loved every minute of it. The privacy is amazing. We spent lots of time in the pool, up on the roof, and taking impromptu naps in the cool air conditioning. We cooked quite a bit, and when shopping at Chedraui we even made sure to get a bag of spinach leaves for the security iguana (we called him Paco)……
