“Pictures online undersell this little cottage. The layout is family friendly and also completely suitable for a couple or even individual stay. The owner was very responsive and the property showed pride in ownership. Plenty of towels and bedding were provided. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and such. Checkout was easy and uncomplicated, as was check-in. We were happy to be greeted with an already warm cottage when we arrived in unseasonably chilly temps. The deck overlooking the……

“The title of this home is perfect... Newly renovated lake house... It was our most comfortable VRBO rental ever, where the pictures UNDERstate the size and comfort of the living area, dining room (with a gorgeous table for 10!), and bedrooms (super comfortable beds and linens)! We loved our morning kayaks on the lake and sunset drinks on the deck!”

“House is immaculate, like new! Back deck is great for morning coffee and a place to read without the bugs. Everything you need in kitchen is there, no need to bring anything. Beds are plenty comfortable. My only negative is that it would be helpful if there were electrical outlets by the beds. Because of outlet placement, we slept in separate rooms. Some odd rules like taking your own garbage to the dump and stripping the beds and putting sheets in washer.”

“We had a large-ish group for my son's graduation from Middlebury College and could not have asked for a nicer host or place. The upstairs/main floor is really so much cooler even than the photos portray. You feel like you are out in the field with huge windows in every room. The basement is dark and cool and very flexible bed and roomwise. Everyone felt very comfortable and well cared for. Kara is a fantastic and responsive host and we are so grateful for the soft landing.”

“We had a great time at this property. We loved the location, had a great time in the game room and were overall thrilled w our vacation. We had everything we needed to cook at home and we slept great on the comfy mattresses. We could not get the fireplace to work, but that had no impact on our stay. Thank you!”

“Lovely home that has everything you need , located on a very secluded street . you can feel that this home is loved : has lots of great books and beautiful paintings ( home is owned by the artist ) Very cozy with a lot of character and overlooking Lake Champlain . Beautiful terrace . Local stores sell very good produce from nearby farms its organic and very tasty . great hiking at the Green Mountains for people who like forest ; trails are empty ( but about an hour away by car) Or you can walk……

“This property is outfitted simply but well. I especially enjoyed having a glass of wine on the lovely deck with its great view, despite being close to a road. This is not a luxury getaway, but a well-located (close to the bridge to Vermont) and affordable one. Very good communication from the host!”

“When we arrived everything was clean but dishwasher was full of dirty dishes.No big deal we just ran dishwasher.Full disclosure we forgot run dishwasher when we left. Suggest telling future renters with boats that coming from north end of lake is alot easier than coming up Rt 9N over the mountain. All in all was trip Thank you”

“We only needed it for a short stay. In the winter. It was a short ride to lake placid. It was clean, heat worked, had hot water, enough rooms and beds to sleep in. Had all the basics to get by. Just no toaster. Would stay again. The only thing I can say didnt work well. Was the wifi. But it was nice to disconnect. Just Hard to reach our loved ones in the evenings and find local places to get things.”

“Lakeside location was amazing! The deck is nice place to enjoy some coffee or a drink. The house is stocked with lots of fun activities like books/dvds/games. Overall great place for a cozy getaway! The space is on the smaller side so good for two people or three at most.”
