“The property is brand new, you could still smell the paint! The suite itself was gorgeous, more than I expected. However, our stay had a lot of obnoxious other tenants. I was woke up each night around 3-5am with the screaming and paper walls. It was disappointing because the room and location were great. Don’t recommend for families. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at The Iris. We stayed in a superior suite which was bright and light and with all that we needed for four nights. It turned out we were in a great area with lots of delicious dining options and a short walk from King Street which is the Main Street in Charleston. We walked everywhere. We would totally recommend and would come back if we visit Charleston again. ”

“We had such an amazing time at this property, the photos of the house are exactly as pictured. The pool & beach views are incredible and the home is clean, with a ton of space for a friends or couple weekend or a family trip. We did not want to leave!!! However the only reason for the low rating is the rental company associated with this property was beyond rude and difficult. I booked this house for my bachelorette weekend, I am 32 years old with friends (ages 32-38) most that are pregnant or……

The home is very clean, it is lovely, the location is great, the kitchen is well stocked, management company process was very smooth, etc. We hope to stay here again.”

“This was a very comfortable house. Unsure why it has anything less than 5 star reviews. It was convenient to everything. In fact, I wish we could have stayed longer. If there was a larger group there, there may be an issue because there is only one bathroom, but for the price, you cannot beat this. Its basically across the street from food and grocery stores. Convenient to Charleston, Folly Beach, and anything you need. It is a duplex. Just be aware because people get confused for some reason.……

“We travelled to Charleston for an extra long weekend. It was amazing. The house was very clean and the highway traffic noise did not bother us in the least. There were restaurants, breakfast places and shopping all within walking distance. It was easy to get to all the places we wanted to go. Would definitely stay there again.”

“We were incredibly impressed with how spacious the place is. The pictures don't give you a true feel for how big the rooms are. The main living area and kitchen are well done and have everything you need. The girls loved the massive master closet and the spacious master bathroom. The balcony was the perfect spot to watch a thunderstorm roll through in the morning. The location was almost perfect, with the beach just 25 minutes, downtown Charleston just 15 minutes, and shopping & restaurants less……

“We enjoyed our stay very much! The property description was accurate though we cook and I’ll tell you what, pots and pans were sparse! One very small pot with lid, one small very worn Teflon skillet with no lid and one larger wok like skillet with no lid were what was available. There was one 5x7 cutting board and no hot mitts. There was some tea and olive oil and salt and pepper. If we come back sometime I’ll bring some cooking gear. Great location and the space was a comfortable temperature.”

“We rented the property during our sons graduation. It is in the heart of downtown Charleston, walking distance to a lot. It has a soul restaurant literally 20 steps from it. It comes with the challenges of an old house, but at the same time it was quaint. It was very clean and has everything you will need. I would gladly stay again.”

“Check in and check out instructions were clear. The house was clean and more than enough room for the 2 of us(6 people would be more than comfortable). Also location was great. The walk to the beach was accurate. Maybe a little over 5 minutes. We hope to stay here again soon!! Thank you for such a great trip!!”

“Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the Harborside and were allowed to use the pool at the Beach Club side which was great. Loved using the bikes for a ride around the area. Enjoyed waffles for breakfast at the Fish House restaurant on property. The queen room and bathroom were on the smaller side with only one sink. It was manageable for two (though very tight) but would not recommend a family of four stay there. There was light coming in from the top and bottom of the doorway so……

“Loved the view from the room and the restaurant. Breakfast buffet was nice and dinners I had there were good. Room was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and it was a 5 minute drive to historic Charleston. The hotel also offered hourly drop offs and pick ups in the center of the historic district. Only negative was that there was only one elevator working the entire week i was there. At busy times you could have a wait and sometimes have to wait for it to come back……
