“The property I think is as described and the location by the causeway is pretty fantastic, that is the big draw. Being able to walk/ride out to the causeway is excellent. Little things though marred the experience for me. Tiny coffee machine that is a little broken (top falls off, often into cup as you pour) - very cheap and can only make 2 cups. No coffee filters provided. Toaster is tiny, cheap and a bit hard to use. There is no established path so you are just trotting about 50 yards across……

“The place is private, peaceful, clean and well maintained. Dave, the owner, even warned us of an approaching storm and advised us on how to protect screen porch furniture upholstery from getting wet, so communication was excellent, too. ”

“This was our first stay at this property, but not our first stay in the area. We were a little hesitant to book because our last stay at the other location was less than ideal. So glad we went ahead and booked. The house is beautiful, well decorated, clean and well equipped. There were 6 of us, my family of 4, plus my parents. “I came with two friends. We were here to bike the Colchester Causeway and do some kayaking. We also visited the Ethan Allen homestead and spent time in Burlington shopping and dining. The house was in the perfect location and was just lovely. It was a mix of quaint eclectic and lake decor. The beds were very comfortable, there was a nice kitchen and dining area and a cosy living room. We were steps away from the dock and kayak launch so there was always the sound of water lapping the beach.……

“We loved our stay for the 2024 total eclipse! The house is on a hill with beautiful mountains all around, and it is very quiet - it's like you have the mountains to yourself. The house itself is one of the most comfortable my family of 4 has rented and not cramped like many rentals. The living room is huge with plenty of seats, there is room around the table to easily seat 6, and the kitchen is big enough for multiple cooks. Even the bedrooms are big - not just big enough to fit a bed, but……

“I had a great experience at this property! It was the perfect place to watch the eclipse, and made a a great home base. I was pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was, as far as dining ware and cookware goes. We needed to call Albert to turn up the heat, but he arrived promptly and was very pleasant to interact with. We loved the decor of the place, and would love to return if we find ourselves in the neighborhood again.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite bad weather all week. The property is as described. The view was lovely and we appreciated how quiet the neighborhood was. We cooked most of our meals. The kitchen was well-stocked in terms of dishes, cutlery, pots & pans. The only potential issue is that the stairs to the 2nd floor bedrooms are very steep, as others have noted, and our dog wasn’t able to climb them. Other than that, the place was very comfortable and it was great to get away.”
