“Its all about attention to detail, and this place has got it and then some! Can not rate this accomodation highly enough the staff where so friendly and helpful, and nothing was a problem for them. The little things matter and the place has plenty of quality. The hot tub was a nice extra as was the piano in the lounge area. Very clean and tidy. We will be back, lovely experience and the breakfast was excellent in both quality and quantity. It was a pleasure to stay here. ”

“We stayed on bank holiday weekend and it was dead. The bar/pub had 3 people in it, there was no background music or atmosphere so was just a little awkward. We moved into the dining room with the intention of having dinner but changed our minds after seeing the condition. The tables appeared to be dressed all differently, I couldn’t figure out if they’d been used by previous customers or not, just presented as untidy and unclean. We sat down on one table after finding 2 chairs with seats that……

“The hairdryer did not work Some sockets were not ‘live’ There were at least two, unsafe, gang-extensions The hot water took over five minutes to reach the tap or shower There were no shelves in the bathroom There was one small towel rail The iron is impossibly complicated to use Someone unlocked our room door and began to enter on our third morning, before 8 am There was no hook on the back of the bathroom door We were provided with only one small bottle of shower gel over three……

“I was very happy with my room! It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Unfortunately the walls are very thin and l could hear the people next door talking as if they were in the same room, so even though the bed/bedding was very clean and comfortable l did not get any sleep, l could even hear a conversation someone was having on a phone. The property is advertised as a B&B but they do not do breakfasts. I would definitely stay again if the price was reduced slightly to accommodate not……

“Stayed here for two nights with my friend while hiking in the area. Friendly and lovely place. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing, room was clean and comfortable with an amazing view over the garden and mountains beyond. Spent our evenings watching the red squirrels, birds, deer and badgers out of the bedroom window. Perfect place to use as a base or to spend time in the gardens. “We loved the wayside whiskey barn. We had the twin room which was tastefully decorated. The whole place was real class. We had a full english for breakfast which was delicious. Emiko was a lovely lady . She let us book in a bit earlier. She went out of her way for anything that you would need. We would definately go back for a return visit.”

“We stayed in one of their 2 Viken lodges. It was huge and easily big enough to accommodate all of us with loads of space for kids to run about and explore. Floor to ceiling Windows and and a gabled roof gave stunning views down the valley to the estuary from both floors. The accommodation was modern and stylish and even had its own sauna. The onsite pool was free to use and warm and clean, a good size. Slight hiccup at check in was sorted out well and we were allowed to stay an extra night in……
