“This home is in the midst of renovations. This means a new fridge and also construction materials around the property (no fenced in yard for pets, plus empty bottles/gum wads, etc around construction area). The house is clean and new on the interior but does not look like the pictures in many way. We came here with a mobility impaired family member, the new high top kitchen table was a disaster. “We loved our stay in Lake Placid to see the Total Solar Eclipse! We had been looking forward to the trip for a year, and were very happy with this home - it was very comfortable for our family that included an infant and a toddler, as well as 8 adults. There was plenty of room for us to all have the space we needed. We especially loved the wood stove in the living room, and the backyard was great to play in the snow. It was just a short walk to town, so close a 3-year old could walk herself……

“We had a lovely time in this chalet in the woods. Everything was as described. Neighborhood was QUIET which is exactly what we were looking for. Close and easy drive to lake Placid for supplies. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck and the screened in porch was a very nice bonus. The cooking pots and pans could use updating - all are quite scratched up. Water pressure was good in shower. Communication with the host was terrific. Main bedroom is downstairs and as long as anyone staying upstairs is ok……

“It was cold during our stay and being right on top of the water there was a very large temperature gradient from the floor to ceiling. We had an infant sleeping in a pack n play on the floor and so it was necessary to blow a fan and move the air. The temp at the floor on our baby monitor was reading 61 while the heat in the room was set to 77. So be aware if you have an infant. Additionally the floor was bowing and popping up in many places. Likely due to extreme temperature swings or humidity.……

“The apartment is beautifully managed. It is very cozy indeed. The owner maintained communication with us constantly when needed and his response was on time. Nothing to criticize on the apartment it is really perfect. You can just sign into your own Netflix and spent time with your love ones. The apartment has everything that a normal family would need to cook absolutely. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and 1bath, a full bath is downstairs next to Kitchen. “The house and location were perfect for 5 retired guys fishing on beautiful Schroon lake. It was easy to rent a pontoon boat at the marina and the house was very comfotable and well equipped . The kitchen was fairly new and the bedrooms were large with 3 of them having there own bathroom. The other 2 bedrooms upstairs shared a bathroom. I would recommend this property for friends or a family . The fishing was also pretty good and there is a nice beach for swimming . Brian C”

“The townhouse was clean and well stocked with essentials. Thomas responded immediately when we called him with a question. Great location to town and local hiking.”

“House is immaculate, like new! Back deck is great for morning coffee and a place to read without the bugs. Everything you need in kitchen is there, no need to bring anything. Beds are plenty comfortable. My only negative is that it would be helpful if there were electrical outlets by the beds. Because of outlet placement, we slept in separate rooms. Some odd rules like taking your own garbage to the dump and stripping the beds and putting sheets in washer.”

“We stayed at the Home on the Hudson for our ski vacation. The place had everything we needed, was very clean and neat as a pin. We had everything we needed to cook meals after a long day of skiing, laundry if needed, cleaning supplies and personal care products in the bathroom. The host was very engaging to ensure that our stay was pleasant. The view of the Hudson River was very pretty and relaxing to watch. We would definitely stay there again.”

“The rooms are similar to small apartments. they have a living room and kitchen along with a large bathroom and large room. absolutely fantastic and beautiful place. it is a 5 minute drive from all the restaurants and shops ”

“Beautiful mountain views”

“Cabin was extremely clean. Had everything you would want at your fingertips. Loved the compact kitchen with all the utensils needed to prepare meals. The bathroom shower had good water pressure & plenty of hot water. Cabin bed was very comfortable & plenty of blankets. Only small disappointment the kindling wood to use in the firepit was too wet to start a fire. Maybe an outside box to cover the wood to keep it dry would help.”
