“Very cute place rental and convenient to Cornell. Price was very reasonable. We would recommend this place to others and definitely stay here again. Some extra amenities would be a very nice addition such as having some extra TP, hand/ dish soap (shower soap was empty), paper towels, napkins, etc. There was coffee which was awesome-- we had brought our own so we were all set. The sheets on the bed slid off at night- better sheets would make for a nicer experience as well. Overall, it was……

“My husband, adult daughter and her friend stayed at the Guesthouse for 3 nights. We were traveling to see the eclipse. The Guesthouseat the Woodlands appealed to us because of it's proximity to nice places to hike. The Guesthouse was perfect for the 4 of us. “For someone with mobility issues this property would not work, but for anyone else this place is exceptional. With a beautiful layout that is thoughtfully furnished, immaculately clean, extremely well equipped, and ideally located both for convenience and aesthetics it met or exceeded all of our expectations. Our family group of nine, six adults and three small children, were very comfortably accommodated during our 3-day stay, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The wonderful memories we took……

“Comfortable, cosy bungalow that is exactly as described & pictured on Vrbo. The gracious, friendly owners are onsite & greeted us when we arrived & said goodbye when we departed. The bungalow features a great layout for two couples as there are two king bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, one of which has a second door to the common area. These private areas are separated by the living room, dining room, & kitchen which provides some welcome privacy. An SUV or 4-wheel drive car may be helpful……

Just beware the low ceilings down stairs, they got my husband a few times. The lake and docks are stunning. The hot tub was very clean. All around a great stay.”

“This was a clean property with a perfect location - 30 minutes to Cornell campus, close to wonderful vineyards and breweries. Lots of things to do nearby. We enjoyed using the paddleboards and kayaks. Gorgeous sunset views...wish we had planned to stay longer. Perfect for our 3 generations. Neighbors friendly.”

“We came to see our daughter graduate from law school at Cornell and this home was absolutely perfect!! House was just beautiful gardens were lovely (so bummed it rained so we didn’t get to make use of the yard) Would absolutely stay here again!”

“I stayed with my wife and a group of friends for a race at Watkins Glen. This house worked out perfectly for the six of us with plenty of space for everyone and really nice common areas plus a nice backyard by a river with a grill. The house and property were beautiful and the area was gorgeous, very close to Watkins Glen State Park and a short drive to town with great stores and restaurants. I’d love to come back and stay longer!”

We loved that the beds were made and everything we needed was provided in the bathrooms and kitchen. We definitely enjoyed hanging out talking in the evenings on the comfy couch. “We had such a wonderful family vacation at the Climbing Vine Cottage. The host provided coloring supplies, toys, & books for our children. My husband & I enjoyed relaxing in front of the pellet stove. & to our surprise, we even experienced our first snow of the season during our stay. So grateful for the hosts quick responses & recommendations for local restaurants & activities. I highly recommend this spot for your next family getaway!”
