We paid extra for a “Falls View” and yes, if we wrapped our head around all the way to the right and place our face nearly against the window, we could see a fraction of Niagara Falls… put simply, our view was of the Embassy Hotel… directly into their windows. We woke up the first morning with the room at 74 degrees, put the temp as low as we could but it was locked. Called for help, gentleman came up and although he was kind, he could not fix it and gave the solution of keeping the curtains closed so the sun could not heat the room. Great, so the room ‘view’ we paid extra for needs to have the curtains closed… fantastic. Second morning, we needed an iron and although we looked high and and low, the front desk was insistent we had one…. We did not, had to call down for someone to bring the iron and board up about 30 minutes later. The third morning we are checking out, my husband had to take a shuttle down three blocks to get the car, to come back to the hotel and now the only two carts the hotel has to offer guests to put their luggage on is in use…. So three trips up and down to bring our belongings down. As we are doing so, the front desk attendant sees us. Once we are done, we go to check out and the same attendant now has a sign up “will be back in five minutes”…. The bellhop and two other employees walk by and say “sorry we can’t help you only the front desk lady can…. She came back @ least 10 min later with Starbucks in hand… she couldn’t of done that after we left?
