Staff was always friendly and helpful. Food was actually pretty good. Rooms and shared space were clean. Easy access to the beach where chairs await you & you can rent an umbrella if you want. Pool areas had a snack bar (food was mediocre here though) and bar areas, and they were well watched by security so we felt safe.

We've been staying at the Palace for the last 10 years and have gotten to know and love the staff and facilities well. We were anxious to see the recent renovations. We loved the 2 extra pools, and the bathrooms at beach were a plus. The coffee stand in the lobby was a nice idea, as was the bar. The new seating was much needed. However, with these new additions, the once quiet lobby is now a very busy and noisy place to be. Sadly, we felt the grand entrance to the resort had lost its regal feel. Thankfully, the beautiful stained glass ceiling is still there but with the upgrades, it seems a bit out of place. We don't feel the Elite Club is an asset to the resort. A big disappointment for us was the buffet. It didn't flow, it had too many feeding stations. We spent a lot of time walking back and forth and it was often very congested. There were fewer choices and they often ran out of items like fruit. Breakfast had the usual items and was good. I found it difficult to find much to eat at lunch and dinner. I have an allergy to shrimp and a large percentage of the dishes had shrimp in them. Salmon and tilapia wasn't always offered. The upgraded rooms were nice and the walk-in shower was an improvement. Something alarming happened in the large pool. Someone had an "accident" and it was obvious there was no protocol in place to deal with it. This was troubling. Sadly, we're unsure if we will go back again next year.

I loved our stay at the RIU Palace Pacifico. Excellent service, amenities and quality of food. Having beautiful fruit especially berries every morning was so nice. The resort is beautiful and clean with a great beach. We had a really nice suite with a big balcony facing the ocean. My family had a very pleasant stay and looking forward to returning next year

We loved our stay at the RIU Palace. All of the staff went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The dinner was phenomenal. We enjoyed the elite club amenities and were glad we upgraded, but you could still have a wonderful stay with out it. The resort was spotless and beautifully appointed. Fun beach. The area was beautiful and safe. Tips: get the massages on the beach! $35/hr. Best massage ever. Use Uber to get around. Cheap, fast and safe.

The place is amazing the only thing i didnt like was that we couldnt use our speaker at the pool other than that definitely would stay here again

I loved the property, the food was very good. For the restaurants no reservations needed and the waiting is not bad at all. Just at checking in I had a bad experience with Sandra at reception she was very rude she has no patience and she is not professional.

Única queja son los colchones (te sumes cuando te subes), y la regadera, que solo funciona la que se puede despegar, la fija está de adorno y solo gotea). Por lo demás, muy buena estancia, buena comida, y excelente servicio.

Overall a good experience except for some slow or unorganized service. Charging for an umbrella at the beach should also not happen at a property like this.
