“My daughter and I stayed at Carl’s place for a few days to see the eclipse. The chalet is absolutely lovely and we loved waking up each morning to the sunrise & the trees and the view of the lake…it was magical. Carl was nothing but wonderful and is there to make your stay memorable. Would definitely recommend!”

The area is quiet in the off season, so restaurant selection was a bit limited, but a great BBQ place is next door.”

“This place is awesome! I feel like the pictures don’t really do it justice. The kitchen is wide open to the family room with a great island and the dining room table sits 8-10 ppl. It’s so close to town, as well, BUT it doesn’t feel like it. The property manager, Jason, was so prompt with my questions, and was a true professional. I HIGHLY recommend this sweet house!”

“We are skiers so are gone early in the morning and do not return until later in the evening. We eat outside except for breakfast in the morning. We bring our own sheets and towels. We removed the existing sheets on the beds and set aside for washing. All blankets are folded and left on beds for complete airing. We fold up rug so it doesn’t get dirty during our stay. All garbage and trash is removed. We vacuum and mop all floors. We are grateful and appreciative for the rental and treat……

“Clean, simple, exactly as advertised. Good communication with owners. Perfect for our 3 night stay, two families with four kids age 10-13 exploring Inlet, Old Forge, hiking at Bald Mtn, and Water Safari. Walkable to community beach. An upgrade from our days of basic cabins/camping at the Camping Resort. Bear walked through property on first morning as we were on deck having coffee, neighbors warned us as it headed our way. Basic cookware and amenities, nice to have grill, washer and dryer on……

“House was not ready for check-in. Microwave was broken. Walk to house was not shoveled or salted (Luckily we had a shovel with us and I went out and bought my own bag of rock salt). Barbeque unavailable due to being snowed in on deck (yes we would have grilled). Lake view suggested by photos is not present. The trash policy is bizarre and unacceptable. There is no situation where a host should demand a guest to take their garbage with them. Imagine if we had stayed longer than a few days - I'm……

We would absolutely stay here again. Sean and Linda were easy to get ahold of, and Linda graciously answered my question about a local attraction before our stay.”

“The property is very nice, but we didn’t get to enjoy it. My younger daughter, her husband and son couldn’t make it because they had Covid. My wife and I arrived Thursday and were waiting for my older daughter, her husband and two children, when I decided to test myself for Covid. Of course it was positive so my wife and I checked into a hotel for the night to quarantine from my daughter’s family. Our visit to Old Forge to celebrate with 25 family members was officially ruined so we all drove……

“Loved the laid back nature of the place- no front desk Just arrive, take a life jacket and pull out a canoe and get busy enjoying the amazing lake. Nothing fussy about the place. Restaurant was delicious/ top notch food. Low key staff that help anyway they can but don’t get in way. Firewood and all you need to enjoy your evening in quiet. I’d probably get bigger room Next time .. our space for 4 was tight but I had cheap room ”
