“The cabin was in a pretty location on the side of a small lake — but the location doesn't match that on VRBO which states it's in La Fortuna town. It's actually several miles out of town, which was a problem for us since we didn't have a rental car and there's no public transport serving the area. The owner offered us a lift into La Fortuna on our first day, but beyond that we had to keep booking Ubers which also were quite unreliable. The cabin was nice but could do with a bit of upkeep —……

“Our room was nice and clean and we had a beautiful view out of our bedroom window and off of our balcony. There was a river that runs right behind the rooms, it was great listening to that a night. It was great sitting out on our balcony, the balcony is compact though. The little kitchen was nice and suited our needs just fine. Unfortunately the pool was not working while we were there, but it was to cool and it was raining the whole time so we wouldn't have used it anyway. ”

“We loved our view of the volcano from the backyard and all the outdoor living. I could sit by the pool and watch the hummingbirds in the morning. The separate bedrooms were great for our family situation. The road the house is on is gravel but it is close to town. We did not use the washer/ dryer or 1/2 bath. There was a code for the front door so we didn't have to carry our keys when we went on our excursions. All the bedrooms have separate keys because they all have outdoor access. The owner……

“We stayed here from 5/17/24 - 5/22/24. We were 8 adults total. The house is very nice. It was very warm when we first arrived. Only the bedrooms are air conditioned. We found out quickly if you open the bedroom doors it helps to cool the rest of the house. The house was well equipped with kitchen items and we were able to cook a few meals. It was nice to be able to grill. The bedrooms were all decent sized and the beds were super comfy. We got great use out of the pool. Also the egg chair……

“We wished we had stayed longer. This is a wonderful property, well maintained and the owners are close by. The back yard is beautifully landscaped and offers a full view of the volcano covered deck area and a small pool to cool off in. Beds are comfortable and the house offers everything you could need. La Fortuna is a hidden gem. I have been to CR over 40 times and never made it here. Great restaurants and activities and a wonderful place to relax when the day is over. Highly recomended.”

“This was a perfect property for our family of 4. Conveniently located to town, safe and secure with a gate, beautiful landscaping, and having Stefano there to greet us and help us plan our activities was amazing. We absolutely loved it here.”

“The photos do not do the house justice. On arrival the house was clean and had all of the necessary kitchen and bathroom essentials. Each room had an individual bathroom with shower that had good pressure. The view of the arenal volcano was breath taking and the pool was a perfect way to stay cool down in the heat. Disclaimer the pool structure is made of a cement type of material and we did get some scrapes, but nothing too bad. Also, there is no jacuzzi it is simply a “water feature”. In……

“Julian was a great host, he was always available and graves the best tips on what to visit and where to get the best deals for local attractions, his home is beautiful a piece of art in fantastic piece of land. Place to park your car, great bathrooms, do highly recommend. We only stayed 2 days but thanks to our host we maximized our stay”

“I have stayed here multiple times. Its always quiet and peaceful and the pool area is never crowded. I really want to give it a 5 star review but the breakfast food is horrible. The only plus side is my stay is very reasonably priced so next time i will just go out to eat. Besides that the place was perfect. ”
