“My Husband and I stayed here one night as we passed through on our way home to Missouri. It was very cute and clean. The outhouse was not bad at all. We took to the hike to the lake and explored the beach before coming back to the cabin. Warming up soup for dinner that we brought and reading some books that were n the cabin. The weather was perfect and the fireplace made it nice in the evening and throughout the night. We visited May 29-30, we saw deer turkey and as we left a black bear was on……

“I LOVED the Sunrise cabin! It was camping but with a few amenities that made the experience much better than sleeping in a tent. Very peaceful and quiet and only a 10 minute walk to Lake Superior. The showers in the lodge were an added bonus. I definitely will be back and have already shared with friends, encouraging them to check out this awesome place!”

“We liked the quiet spot in the woods which was a nice location to Duluth and North Shore activities. The kids loved sleeping in the loft. We hiked through the woods and found the little waterfalls right from the property. We even got to see a bear on our last night. The property had everything we needed.”

“This worked perfect for our family and our stay, especially with our hound along for the ride. We’d like to return in the summer months to better be able to explore the trails. The one difficulty was the lack of heater in the cabin necessitating use of space heaters. While the cabin remained warm enough I was under the impression there was more centralized heating. Other than that we had no issues and really enjoyed our stay!”

“We were able to go out to eat at some fun restaurants for supper each night. At the same time, we felt as though we were hours away from the hustle and bustle. Nature was all around, yet conveniences kept everything hassle free! We will recommend this get-away to friends and family. We will definitely come back multiple times.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this relaxing retreat! We loved the lake view and all the amenities (paddle boards, comic book collection, sauna, gas grill, spacious kitchen, and large farm table for gathering to playing cards). Being a group that loves to cook together in the kitchen, the selection of kettles was a tad limited and a few 3 - 4 qt pots would be nice :). We would definitely recommend this place to others who might enjoy a quite scenic lake stay in Northern MN.”

“There were “oohs” and “aah’s” when we first entered the main cabin. The kitchen and it’s amenities were amazing! We were 8 seniors who came to the North Shore for 1 1/2 days of non-ending bridge playing. The weather was horrible, but we didn’t mind a bit; we had plenty of food & beverages to keep us happy for the two days we were there. The guest cabin was “cute”, but much older than the main cabin. Guests didn’t “love” it and used it only for sleeping. The 2nd floor bathroom was awkward as we……

“Stayed in the shipping container and loved the whole thing. The area was beautiful and filled with great natural views. The place has an amazing sauna that was so nice and relaxing. Would recommend that anyone looking for a retreat to get away, book here.”

“Not sure where to start, Cold with no heat You plugged anything in and you will blow a hard to find fuse that we had to go back to Duluth to find, water was un drinkable found out the hard way, the bath house was un heated aswell and the hot water lasted for about 2 minutes. Needless to say it was for the most part Unhabitable!”
