Josh is an excellent host and his girlfriend, Mariela, is an great cook. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast (gallo pinto/eggs), fab dinner (Arroz con Pollo) and the best pina coladas ever! The river/estuary views are every changing with the tides. Overall, it's a hidden paradise in a typical Costa Rican neighborhood.”

“We stayed at 3 properties on this trip and this is the only one I don’t think I could recommend since I didn’t really feel welcomed, condo was missing things it should have had based on the listing, poor maintenance, and water issues. AC was completely turned off and it is a second story condo so the indoor temp when we got there was in the mid-90s and took 24 hours to cool down. When you know someone is coming turn on the AC. Missing items: paper towels, dish soap, sponges, hand……

“There is a lot to say about this property. The manager that originally messaged me from vacasa actually never helped us at all. We arrived to a lovely couple and their teenage daughter who live on property as care takers. They were the highlight of our trip. “This property was absolutely beautiful! Looked just as it did in all the pictures. We traveled from Florida a family of 5, two 10 year olds and one 7. Cori the property manager was so helpful with setting up all our activities, everyone showed up and picked us up to take us to our tours as promised. We enjoyed brunch at the resort next to the property every morning. Even woke up to monkeys in the back yard and the macaws flying around were so neat. “We stayed here for the entire month of April 2024 and enjoyed the house. During the driest and hottest month in CR, the refreshing pool and reliable AC was appreciated. The home was comfortable and modern, and the outdoor area covered. The living area is all outside like many homes in Costa Rica. Paquera itself is a sleepy town but there is lots to do all around the Penninsula and we took full advantage of all the activities Rhonda recommended. “The house was great, it was big enough to accommodate 4 adults and 4 kids ranging from 7 to 12. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms but not in the main house which at times could be very warm. There is two big floor fans but still can be warm. The beach is nice but if you’re looking for a nice smooth sandy beach this is not your location. We saw a lot of crabs which the kids loved.
