“Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips.”

“Très belle propriété avec des hôtes disponibles, de bons conseils et arrangeants (notamment pour le partage du jardin principal pour notre chienne). Le logement a du caractère, est fonctionnel et cosy. Très bien situé pour une visite du sud et du centre de l'Ecosse (beaucoup de randonnées dans les environs). Un nouveau barbecue serait un plus. Nous avons en plus eu beaucoup de chance avec la météo qui nous a permis de bien profiter de notre séjour.”

“The place was good with basic furnishings. Scandi means Ikea. Internet worked well. It was well located in the centre of Linlithgow which is close to Edinburgh and a lovely town. Lovely views of the loch and quiet. We received a couple of detailed, lovely and welcoming automated messages upon booking asking for our arrival and departure times to help with flexible check in or out. We were then very disappointed with the lack of hospitality from the host when we asked about flexible check out……

“Fantastic hosts who went above and beyond to accommodate are stay. The retreat was luxury from start to finish with beautiful touches throughout the property to create the feeling of a home away from home. Wi-Fi connection was excellent and full cable services and digital apps available, which was perfect for rainy days. The beds where super comfy and I even returned home and purchased the same pillows that they had ! The hot tub and sauna where perfect after a day of skiing to come back to. I……

“I can’t put into words how stunning this place is! The host had the place all decorated for Christmas since we were there for the festivities which was great as we had a little one with us. The house is very spacious and was spotless! Only bit of feedback I have is that the kitchen utensils could be doing with an update. I was cooking christmas dinner which was a bit harder as there was no working potato peeler and there was not a small knife to use, only large ones. There was also no whisk but……

“Been here the second time for holiday, we enjoyed it, had a walk in the woods, lovely to enjoy the silence here! 10-15 minute walk from Inverkeithing railway, good to manage without car. Was lovely to see you again, we would come back again :) Thanks for your loving welcome! We felt comfortable!”

“The flat is ok-ish, clean enough I would say but definitely not a luxury apartment. It has a couple of cool things like the bathroom mirror, a couple of lights and some black furniture but that's about all the luxuries. How luxurious is it when you have to hand wash the dishes and why would you host up to 8 guests but only provide towels for a max of 4!?! On the host's defence this was mentioned in the house rules but still... The gym is actually a stationary bike in the living room, some……

“Friendly welcome, tranquil surroundings lovely pod with good privacy. Hot tub being covered on a rainy, but not cold night, made it magical. Highly recommend.”

“The cottage was just what we needed, lots of lovely thoughtful touches were included. A great place to unwind with family. Beautiful location, the hill walks behind the house were stunning and surprisingly easy. Lovely outdoor spaces to enjoy as well.”

“La peor experiencia de mi vida! Llegamos por la tarde al alojamiento, y me encuentro que la contraseña que me habían dado para poder coger las llaves, es errónea. De hecho ya el video que se me envía explicando como hacer todo el proceso, no tiene nada que ver con la realidad. Intento ponerme en contacto con alguien del alojamiento, vía telefónica y email, no contesta nadie... al final, forzando un poco, consigo la llave!(y menos mal, sino me quedo en la calle) Y continúa el desastre, la casa……

“Every single staff member was helpful and friendly, they couldn’t do enough for you and nothing was a problem. The room was gorgeous, fluffy towels, comfortable bed, sound proof. The food in the restaurant was amazing and quite well priced. Our experience was 10/10.”
