The lighting of the property was extremely poor, particular at night. It was so bad I couldn’t see going down the major walkway outside. I had to use the light of my cell phone so I did not trip on anything.Little to No lights at all at night …. I was in disbelief.

Service was good but rooms need a lot of maintenance. Ac was broken on 1 of the 3 rooms i booked and bathroom sink was super clogged. On another room Mimi fridge was broken, never cooled the drinks and water was falling from the sealing in the bathroom area. House keeping on my room was horrible never left clean towels and barely cleaned the room. Never cleaned bathroom area. I have been there before and everything was exceptional but this time i was very disappointed.

This was a great all-inclusive for the amount of money we paid. We booked the Under the Moon couples massage at the Spa and it was awesome! We loved the swim out rooms and the staff were kind enough to place us right next door to our friends we were traveling with. We did not enjoy the multiple boats anchored on the general beach area, and found it unsafe for swimming or snorkeling in that area. The sunrise was amazing, and the food was very good at the restaurants and the general buffet. We did not travel outside of this resort except to go to Mass on Sunday. We took a taxi and it was very easy leaving from the resort. In general, we did not feel the surrounding areas of this resort were safe enough to venture to.

This resort was beautiful! However, it is very humid there. The AC could not keep up with the heat. This left our bedding feeling damp and wet every night. We took 33 damp rid bags with us but it was still not enough. We got an oceanview room. However, we had to keep our curtains closed so it would stay cool in our room. It was a bummer we couldn't enjoy it. The fridge in our room also could not keep our stuff cold or keep up. Overall, the resort is beautiful and the staff is amazing!

The place is beautiful but the check in and check out takes way too long. The service in The Valley was not good, there was a female worker who rolled her eyes at the customers when she was annoyed, very unprofessional.

The hotel is beautiful. The downside was that my reservation included acces to the Waterpark and the waterpark was closed. Basically I learned it was closed the day I arrived. I escalated it to the hotel staff and basically told me that they could not do anything.

We could hear everything from the next room and when we called to complain, they gave us attitude and were a little bit rude. (Reception and Customer Service Public Relations)
Food was okay, the customer service at the bar, restaurants and pools were great though.

Long check in lines and slow front desk staff made it an hour long nightmare.
Our first room was not fully cleaned. The balcony had cigarette butts and ice cream mess. The second room had cigarette burns on the sofa and human hair on the armchair. After speaking to the supervisor Jerson we got a clean room and his assurance that missing iron and kids bed will be addressed promptly. 3 hours later we get to the room to find out that nothing had been done.
Staff is a hit or miss. I was asked by the staff to help him and bring empty glasses from the opposite side of the pool. How's that level of service for a 5-star resort. Pools are poorly maintained. Straws, cups dirt can be found on the bottom for many days in a row. Tables on the beach are dirty and staff passing by as if it's the norm.
Lopesan is more smoker friendly than kids friendly. Ashtrays thoughout the property. People smoking everywhere with zero regard for the others or the kids.
The pillows were terrible. Asked for another pillow and was told to go to the front desk to leave a $30 deposit. I've stayed at cheaper hotels that had multiple pillow options in the rooms.
The TV's are your typical TV from a 10-15 year old hotel. While most newly built resorts have internet access and YouTube, Lopesan TV's offer only regular TV channels with not so many options for the kids.
The price may seem good for a family friendly 5-star resort but in our case we overpaid for something that was more like a glorified 3-star resort.
