“Rancho de Lelo Ecolodge is a family owned small lodge, located about 20 minutes from the main area of Monte Verde. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay with this charming family. The National Park is only 10-15 minutes drive. The farm to table cuisine was awesome. Highly recommended. ”

“Rooms are cabin like. No air conditioning or pool but evenings were cooler. Lots of different tours and shopping experiences. Hard to park in town but found a good restaurant with a parking lot. Staff were very nice and knowledgeable ”

“We absolutely LOVED this place! My kids said it’s hands down the best place we’ve ever stayed. The treehouse is magical, the beds are incredibly comfortable, the staff super friendly and helpful, the kitchen perfectly appointed. I couldn’t speak higher of this perfect spot. Even walkable to town (sidewalk the whole way) although a bit far with young kids. And the local store just around the corner had everything we needed. The trail around the property we walked multiple times and all enjoyed.……

“The property is 1,5 km from the ferrylanding, mostly uphill. Without a car you need to walk or pay the taxidriver whatever he asks (5000 colon, which seemed to be a ripoff for this distance). The little cabin is on a closed private hillside property with a nice secluded beach. The proximity of bioluminescence tours are its advantage. There are howlermonkeys and iguanas and birds around the house. The little wooden cabin has an openair kitchen and a privet outside bathroom. They provide good……

They came out and cooked me and my two colleagues and wonderful meal and delighted us with stories and suggestions for activities. A must stay if coming to the area!”

“We stayed two nights and I wish we had booked more time there. Wildlife Paradise is at the end of a 2-km rough road east and uphill from the San Luis school, but it is well worth the drive. You don't need 4-wheel drive but you do need a short wheel-base 2-wd. This property is more like a two-room bed and breakfast. It's main advantage is that it is off-the-beaten path and is surrounded by rain forest. You won't see the crowds of people that make a Monteverde visit challenging these days. Many……

“Never again. We had to leave 2 days early and try to find another place on high season for my party of 8 because of over booking. The service was just terrible. To bad, because the area was great. Dont rent from this place.”
