“Overall the area is obviously stunning and beautiful, so that’s the main reason to stay there. It’s calm, quiet and a great place to unwind. The lodges themselves are a little rustic and basic, but they are fine. The service was super friendly and helpful. Was truly disappointed in the restaurant. The prices were expensive and for $45 I would have expected the seafood pasta to have fresh local seafood (after all…it’s located on the ocean) but the frozen seafood which barely had any meat to it……

“This hotel is 100 years plus in age, so the worldly charm is there, but rooms are small and the hallway needs new carpeting. Lovely yard with wicker chairs ”

“The entire house is well equipped and with the fireplace at the beach just perfect. Restaurants, shopping centers are close to the house ( Walmart (5min drive). Since the hosts are living near the house you will get all answers to your questions or even recommendations for local activities. Great location-you have to stay here if you want the best in town.”

“It's been a while since our visit to Quadra Island, but with such an amazing time we had, it is hard to forget. We arrived in to the house at the sunset and from that moment I feel in love with this place. I will never forget the view from the terrace with the sun hiding in the water. It was spectacular!!! We spent an amazing week there and never wanted to leave. The house itself is amazing too and equipped with everything we needed. Not to forget about the Jacuzzi with the views to die for!……

“The property is lovely, the house top-notch with very comfy accoms for 2 couples +2 singles, and the kitchen fully stocked with all the mod cons (very picky detail: no hand mixer for making whipped cream, from a woman who travels with her own knives :P ). There are lots of activities in the near area and shops closeby. We booked for a restful christmas and were able to make a feast for 6 without issue, did some lovely (rainy and windy) walks, and enjoyed the wildlife. On the downside, we……

“What a gem! Calm water, crabs everywhere, porpoises out the window. It is a classic Canadian cabin, just like in lake country, except without the mosquitoes but with salmon right outside. We managed to get there in a small open boat (our big one was out of commission) by doing a deal with nearby April Pt Marina.”

“Pros. Lots of space. Accommodating host. Family friendly bike trails on property. Bike shop on property with helpful owner and staff. Cons. Carpet in house needs replacement or professional cleaning. We washed some of our bedding as it had a funk. Island bike network very very rustic.”
