"2nd Foss Hotel we stayed in as part of a ring road trip. I do feel the Foss hotels are expensive for what they are. A lot of style on offer but lacking in other ways. Room had a balcony with a view to the lake and mountains. All very stunning. Room itself was small but good storage options. Food prep was forbidden in rooms (a theme with Foss) but at least there was a kettle in this one. No sound proofing at this hotel. Staff were all very friendly with one of them telling us to come look out...

"This was a nice hotel, and we had a very large room with a sofa and large TV separate from the bedroom. The windows opened slightly to allow the cool breeze in, which was a blessing during the long daylight hours of late May. There were also two fans in the room which made all the difference. There was tons of storage and lots of plugs for all of our devices. They also had washcloths and a full collection of L'occitane products, which was lovely. The only downside was that we asked for dinner...

"Clean modern cabin in an isolated setting yet close enough to Husavik and Myvatn lake. I have an interest in farming and tending animals in the unique setting of iceland. The owners went out of their way to answer all my questions about their sheep farm, the cost of energy, and more. Very welcoming and friendly people. "

"Wonderful cabin! This cabin is so cute and well designed. Also the staff are very kind and helpful. It’s in a campground as other reviewers have noted, but the cabin is in a very quiet spot, it felt private to us! We were unaware that the Myvatn area is known for its many flying midges and unfortunately the cabin didn’t have screens to keep them out! We would have loved to bring in some fresh air and sit outside on the cabin’s deck!"
