“My sister and I had the pleasure of staying at the charming lily cottage over a long weekend. The cottage is in a tranquil setting while being minutes from the reservoir, Woodstock, Kingston, and of course the wonderful hiking in the Catskills. The cottage itself is perfectly appointed with everything you might need and we loved the retro appliances. The bed is very comfortable and the outdoor swing made a Friday night all the more relaxing. Jim and May are gracious hosts who have thought of……

“One of the cleanest rentals I have ever stayed at! So very quiet and great views. Loved listening to all the birds sing outside. Check in/out was easy and the host left a book of things to do and attractions. Lots of little pluses like soap, condiments, multiple coffee makers, and puzzles! Deck looked brand new and cabin in great location near some nice walks/hikes. Great communication with the host! A very cozy retreat to relax and recharge! Plus our two dogs got to join us as well, they got to……

“Beautiful, spacious, historic renovated schoolhouse, well appointed furnishings. Giant great room off the back and out to an expansive green which is NOT fenced enough to let your pet run loose, which they say in write up (our dog loved the great room to play in). A few things: If the weather is inclement, the firewood on the property along the fence will be wet. We arrived in rain and had sun the next two days but wood was wet, and could not locate any bagged firewood in Rhinebeck, so could not……

“Lovely home. Very quiet. Large kitchen. I appreciated the communication from the owners. Pictures give the sense that it is larger than it is. Small deck in the back and some seating in the front of the house. Loved the huge windows in the living room. Very nice stay”

“House was very clean and owners seemed kind and thoughtful. They was a bottle of wine waiting for us at arrival. Beds and linens were very comfortable and shower had great water pressure. The view from the balcony is splendid with cozy outdoor furniture and an area for yoga or meditation. We just found the decor to be a little schizophrenic and overwhelming. This is a great place for two adults and a couple of kids to stay. If two couples are going, they would need to be very comfortable……

“This is a lovely cottage that's perfectly situated between the town of Woodstock and the Overlook Mountain trail. Wonderful ambiance, great mattress, generously-appointed kitchen. Only caveat is that the ceilings are quite low in some spots — especially the kitchen entrance and the upstairs loft-style bedroom. Bumped my head a few times when I forgot to duck!”
