“Very nice not typical hotel”

“While our initial portion of our stay was really smelly due to that we encountered a dead mouse in a trap in the kitchen, once that was cleared out by us, it was a more pleasant experience. Owner very prepared ahead of time with letting us know about accommodations and quick to respond to messages. Beds aren't the most comfy, but for the price and the location, it worked out.”

“Dinner at Devils Backbone brewery which is right around the corner. Breakfast in Waynesboro. Hiking at Panther Falls. Polo match at Kings Family Vineyard. Wedding at Sky Ridge Farm. Toilet on master room level would have been nice but rustic log cabin living at it’s finest with all the amenities!”

“A really charming and quirky house, perched on an overlook above a bend in the James river. Very friendly host, nice grounds, and plenty to explore in the surroundings. We did some outdoor grilling and a fire in the pit on a very starry night. The kids were disappointed that the hottub wasn't working that weekend, but there were plenty of games and some swings nearby to keep them occupied.”

“It was quiet, serene, scenery was beautiful. Those four days were not enough. We especially enjoyed the screen in porch. We would consider renting the cottage again, it is a gem, tucked in the forest.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. Quiet neighborhood and very comfortable. Appreciated all the basics offered that other rentals do not such as soap, garbage bags, toilet paper. But the owners went above that and had lotions, specialty soaps, cleaning supplies etc. Well stocked kitchen for cooking. While it was just the two of us we liked that there were games available for families and there was a nook upstairs for kids to get away. Highly recommend and would definitely come visit……

“We had a wonderful stay! One negative would be that there were not enough Large towels for all of us, thankfully we brought extras. Also, we had to search for extra toilet paper. But other than that..it was a GREAT stay! Thank you so much for sharing your space!”

“My husband and I were looking for a place to disconnect and get back to us. This was the perfect place. It was very quiet and relaxing. We plan on hoing back again in a month or so. We were also able to meet up with a local that helped taxi us to Bold Rock.”
