“We stopped in to spend the night on a road trip. Super nice staff. Room was clean and nice with an extra couch to accommodate all three of our kids. Breakfast was really good! ”

“Such helpful front desk staff. Pleasant and friendly too. Clean room although one for fur babies, it was very clean and spacious. We all slept well, which was a real blessing after the horrible stay the previous night in Oxford,AL., and the torrential downpour we went through the day following.”

“Main complaint was with AC. Did not dehumidify. It was a humid evening & night, but the AC just made it cool and clammy. Damp sheets are not my favorite thing.”

“This place was perfect for us. We came for the eclipse and stayed for Arkansas. The property is exactly as described, a charming farmhouse with some great parks nearby. The neighbors were amazing and made us feel entirely welcome. We enjoyed the cows and chickens - but the songbirds were also entertaining. Thanks, R&D for a great time!”

“I booked this place as a surprise anniversary get away. We loved our stay here. We enjoyed staying in watching The Lord of the Rings right next to the beautiful hobbit door! We also enjoyed venturing out to some great State Parks: Less than 10 minutes from Lake Dardanelle and about 45 min from Petit Jean. The Hobbit House also seemed like it would be a great getaway for a family or friends who love Tolkien. Kitchen is great if you want to cook your own meals and the couches and bed are comfy.……

“The best part of this place is the location. If you’re not staying at the Mather lodge and want close proximity this is it. Other than that nothing special. You definitely get what you pay for. I wish there had been pictures of the rooms interior before booking but that’s a chance I took.”

“Me and my wife were looking for a nice weekend getaway. And found Gwen and Bear’s Cabin listed. The Cabin is right down the mountain from Petit Jean State Park. Which was exactly what we were looking for! The privacy of the cabin and the woods and small stream next to the cabin were also great! All around was an awesome experience and we will definitely be booking again!”
