“For reference we stayed in Atenas Costa Rica April 14th through April 19th. The house is gorgeous, and the view from the backyard is stunning. On two separate occasions toucans came to the tree in the backyard to feed on the berries. We also had 6 head of cows/ bulls wander up one morning while we enjoyed coffee on the back porch. The late afternoons did get warm, but we just cooled off in the pool. We did not see any rain while we were there. The nights do cool down, but was still a little……

“This home is absolutely amazing. It is immaculant and well kept and the pictures dont do it justice. One of the owners of the home Judd was absolutely amazing recommending things to do, restaurants, and various activities. The property manager Leticia was exceptional as well. We needed for nothing and any question I asked was returned promply with kindess. I highly recommend this property not only for the splendor that it is...in the mountains with some of the most beautiful and picturesque……

“Amazing. The cabana is beautiful! It’s brand new and very comfortable. It has three walk out decks, and a one whole side of the cabana is huge windows that open to make the space open air. The views form the cancan are insane! We booked last minute, and I am sure it will be our favorite all the three paces we stay. The host was amazing! He even took us hiking up the river. The area is outstanding, with very few tourists Beautiful waterfalls, including the largest one is Costa Rica. Lots of great……

“Villa Serenidad exceeded our expectations! It is a beautiful home and the view is wonderful. We really liked watching the cows and calves next door and meeting Iggy the iguana. The people of Atenas and all of Costa Rica are welcoming and so helpful with those who are not at all fluent in Spanish! I don't think we ever had even close to a bad meal either! We took advantage of having a meal cooked and delivered to us and it was delicious. Our friends joined us for a part of our stay and we heard……

“Había una actividad en el rancho y me avisaron al final ya no podía conseguir espacio en otro lado. El parqueo estaba lleno. Al final se resolvió. En la mañana nos despertó maquinaria de construcción en la propiedad de al lado. Había un olor horrible y nos dijeron que era el volcán. La propiedad es pequeña pero bien equipada. En la ducha casi no salía agua difícil ducharse.”

“I have travelled around the world and I will say that this place was the most disgusting place I ever ever stayed. Nothing was as described. Service was nonexistent garbage was never taken away. Towels were never replaced. Sheets were the same ones for nine days I would not recommend this place to anyone.”

“The location at the top of the hill has amazing views of the Central Valley. The accommodations are basic but a welcome bottle of wine, snacks, butter and milk for coffee are nice touches. However, there is no air conditioning and the windows face due east. In the morning, that means bright sun directly into the sleeping space. There are aluminum blinds which help lessen the sunlight a bit, but unfortunately they rattle loudly if the wind blows and vents are open to let in fresh air. The biggest……

“Everything about this property was wonderful! We stayed 8 nights and couldn't wait to step outside as the sun came up, to admire the view. We loved hearing and seeing birds and wildlife from the various outdoor sitting areas. We had a rental car and did various outings within 1-2 hours drive from the house including to Poas Volcano, to the coast, Blue Falls, Eco Bungee, as well as explored the nearby small towns.
