"The chalets were very comfortable, 2 separate rooms and decent sized single beds (some very tiny ones down in Abisko!). Sauna was wonderful! Views in the morning were stunning (we were second row from the front). Kitchen had what we needed and the food in Hotel Fjallet itself was delicious. On the down side, the numbers of the chalets were not marked particularly well and Reception couldn't book us a table for dinner, we had to go onto the website which was faffy but all good in the end. "Wonderful stay"

"We stayed as a family here for three nights. Our main purpose was to do hikes nearby and hope to catch the Aurora. It is located within walking distance from the Abisko Ostra train station. Abisko guest house provides all the facilities of a clean room with a common kitchen and dining area. There is a grocery very close by for you to get food etc. I don't think there is any restaurant here. You can rent warm clothing sets and this is very handy if you are going to be out for a long time in cold weather. The staff are also very helpful in guiding you. If you plan to do any day time hikes, then most of these trails start from Abisko Turistation. No problem if you have a car. If you don't, it is about 3 km from the guest house. There is a nice walking path to Abisko turistation, but you have to factor this extra distance in case you are planning hikes from there. The guesthouse staff also help you in case you want to do different guided hikes, aurora tours etc. There is a paid guest laundry facility also available. We had a very enjoyable stay here.
