“This is a nice little hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, not too small but accommodating enough for two. We had a nice view that we were able to see the ocean. This hotel don’t have any elevator & there is a small incline coming back from the beach & restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly & would like to make a special mention to one of the staff member Natalie who my wife reminded me to mention for her wonderful service. Only knick I had was the price for certain things like……

“This was my 2nd visit to Laguna de Cocodrilos. Great, quiet location right off the beach at the mouth of the estuary. Only a few minutes walking distance to downtown. Stayed in a Jr. Suite (#12) and thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay. ”

“We had a wonderful time at Las Casas Velas. Perfect spot for good surfing, enjoyed yoga and the juice bar in town and the endless beach. Would highly recommend the chef for good, unfussy food and ease. Will be back!”

“If you are looking for a trip to stay at the beach to surf or swim, this is a good place. It is nice, safe, secure, has most all of the basic necessities and my hosts were kind and helpful when I had questions or needed anything. It was close to a busy street and restaurants so there was a lot of noise at times. It was right on the main road yet near the end of it so you can walk to get to all the shops and restuarants.”

“Staff was phenomenal! After some travel difficulties they waited for me and my wife to arrive the night we flew in. Their recommendations for places to see were always spot on. Charlie was the number one staff member!! Carlos and Virginia were always happy to answer questions and let us know about different areas to visit. Will definitely be going back when we travel to Costa Rica again. ”

“We had such a welcoming experience even before we got here as hotel staff called and texted us to let us know what to expect, that housekeeping would meet us there, and explained WiFi, pool and other parts of the hotel. The villas themselves were impeccable, they were super clean 10/10 and had everything we needed. The bathrooms are spacious and there is a W/D. The location is perfect, close to many beaches. Would highly recommend to anyone who is in the Tamarindo area. ”

“Juan Carlos, the concierge for Hotel Arco Iris is an absolute GEM of a human being! He made our stay and the days leading up to our arrival even more than we could’ve expected. It was great having transportation set-up upon our arrival by the hotel! The property is beautiful, cozy & feels like home away from home. Breakfast with server Freddy was always a plus! He is kind, attentive & thoughtful in his approach to service. Big hugs to the kitchen staff who made such delicious breakfasts!……

“There were small things like the stove being broken and no water on the last day for a period but overall a great stay. A little grungy and can use some updating. Would be nice if they provided pool floaties or something similar. But still a great time!”

“Well maintained and the property itself is quiet. The on site restaurant was nice and they make great breakfast and nachos. The a/c was quiet and efficient. Great location for beach access and every restaurant you can imagine. Farmers market nearby 2 days a week. Bring ear plugs for potential howler monkeys and the bar nearby that plays music until 2am. ”

“My family and I stayed in this villa from April 9-13. We are a family of 6 adults with a 9 month old and a 2 and 1/2 year old. The villa is as stated in the VRBO site. It’s a beautiful home that accommodated all of us. It was very clean and had a stocked kitchen that was helpful. The beach was across the road with a beautiful path to the water. The pool was glorious! We all loved it and used in the early morning and again in the late afternoon. It was especially fun to see the iguanas at the……

“This was a great location. Close to the beach. shopping, and food. Family run and very nice people. They offer an outdoor kitchen for meal prep if you prefer. ”

“Our stay here was great, well advertised to what it is. Staff is helpful and kind. Good food and smoothies available at price. Pool was enjoyable and clean. About 5 minute walk to the beach. There is a restaurant beside the hotel so there is a dull sound of music in the evenings. I am a light sleeper and did not find this a problem. Bed is firm but was not a problem either. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it. The hotel also had good wifi, so my husband could do some work and also……

“Subtle hotel stay for those who are not scared of a little wildlife entering the room, primarily the bathroom (mainly ants). Hot and tasty breakfast served everyday, which you’ll appreciate once you see the prices around nearby cafes/restaurants. Steve (the owner) was very kind to me and my wife, and he explained everything we would need to know for our stay effectively in a 2 minute window. 4-4.5 star stay all things considered. ”
