“Castillo Tambor was a shot in the dark for my wife and I. We had never been to Costa Rica before and weren't sure what to expect or not expect. We arrived late and were graciously welcomed by hotel staff. She was very helpful and welcoming, ensuring that we were happy with our room prior to leaving. This Hotel is True Castle as the name indicates. Our room was amazing and had an unbeatable view of the ocean. Surrounded by amazing animal and bird noises every morning the tastiest coffee……

“This property was absolutely beautiful! Looked just as it did in all the pictures. We traveled from Florida a family of 5, two 10 year olds and one 7. Cori the property manager was so helpful with setting up all our activities, everyone showed up and picked us up to take us to our tours as promised. We enjoyed brunch at the resort next to the property every morning. Even woke up to monkeys in the back yard and the macaws flying around were so neat. Several of our friends have asked for the info……

“Rooms very clean and quiet. Property well maintained with unique path to rooms. Complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious! No TV’s in any rooms-take a good book. Beach easy 5 minute walk. Bar & dining area staff were excellent. Dining is semi outside and no AC (typical of most dining in Costa Rica). We were there end of April, thru first week of May and missed the rains. Entrance up to hotel parking lot might be tricky in rainy season? We enjoyed our stay at the Nya and would recommend. ”

“Leuk kleinschalig hotel middenin Montezuma. Als je de straat over steekt, sta je zo op het strand. Restaurantjes liggen letterlijk om de hoek. Grote kamers met koelkastje en AC. Hangmat voor iedere deur. Vriendelijk personeel. Lekker zwembad met genoeg ligbedjes. Gratis thee en koffie en snacks bij receptie af te halen. Het enige nadeel is dat de kamers in het houten gedeelte heel gehorig zijn. Je kunt elkaar letterlijk verstaan. Wij hadden overall geluk met buren die zachtjes praatten. Verder……

“We stayed here for the entire month of April 2024 and enjoyed the house. During the driest and hottest month in CR, the refreshing pool and reliable AC was appreciated. The home was comfortable and modern, and the outdoor area covered. The living area is all outside like many homes in Costa Rica. Paquera itself is a sleepy town but there is lots to do all around the Penninsula and we took full advantage of all the activities Rhonda recommended. Two things to know - the road kicks up a lot of……
