"Nice clean resort close to town with an ocean view. If you are looking to swim in the ocean, they don’t recommend doing it from the resort. The pool area is large and well maintained. There are a few restaurants on site, the food was very good. The ride to town was quick and only cost about $2 USD. There were really great food options there as well. "

"We enjoyed Mary’s place very much. The small gated community allowed us to visit with Dani and Barbara who were also staying in the complex. So wonderful to get advice for excursions from other visitors. Chris who helped us with our arrival was beyond helpful. Chris was responsive and very willing to answer all my questions as quickly as he can. Mary, the owner was very flexible and caring. The location was perfect as our two favorite beaches, Playa Blanca and Playa Pita , were 10 minutes to the left and 10 minutes to the right. We will return to be loved again by the spirit of Pura Vida ."

Las comidas del restaurante carabelas es excelente además que el servicio y atención al cliente es sumamente bueno, resaltó a la capitana Heidi y demás colaboradores del restaurante Carabelas porque siempre nos conscienten y ayudan de gran manera. El bar Mantas también es agradable y el personal es muy colaborador y amable con los pedidos que se les hace."

"Costa Rica was so beautiful with such amazing views. The house was so wonderful. Wade and Johan and everyone were so helpful. I couldn't have asked for more for my family. We had lots of questions, and everyone was always there to help us with everything."

"Wonderful hotel on the beach with sprawling pools (swim up bar included, could benefit from a slide or two- then would be perfect for families) and multiple dining options. The hotel and rooms are immaculate and the staff is super friendly. The beach is safe for swimming and has shade options but isn't the most beautiful- sand is fine but rocky in places and could benefit from lounges and umbrellas. The view, however, is incredible, with the offshore island keeping the bay safe and calm. Also a huge benefit that you can walk to the nearby marina shopping area with restaurants and stores and a wonderful cafe/dessert place. Overall a wonderful stay."
