“Very unique property. Beautiful views, quiet setting. Road into property is gravel and rough, but it is being repaired. The only other issue was the shower was not cleaned very well.”

“Property was amazing right outside Big Bend National Park. Super cute, clean and cozy for our family of 4. Kids loved the loft! Totally as advertised. Easy communication with owners who made themselves very accessible if need be. Near everything we needed - we loved walking to all the super fun restaurants right across the road! Would 100% stay here again - LOVED it!!”

“The quaint cabin was very clean and equipped with everything we needed during our stay. The day we arrived the power went out and apparently it impacted a lot of residents. Thankfully, power was restored within 20 minutes. Daryl followed up by calling and checking on us which was a very kind gesture. There aren't a lot of dining options throughout the area, so I suggest bringing your own food. The cabin's fridge is large enough to store a lot of groceries. ”

“The property offered a place to rest and recuperate from a long day of hiking. A shower and a place to lay our heads for a good night's sleep. Our room was comfortable and once we figured things out, we had a good stay. This was an interesting layout with a few nuances for "living off the grid"! Overall, enjoyable!”

“This cabin was perfect for our trip. Check in was so easy and the property was accurate compared to the listing. The beds were super comfortable. The shower is a little short, fine for me but a little difficult for my husband. Super cute inside. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and looking at the stars. Convenient location to restaurants in town and BBNP. If we return, we plan to stay here again!”

It was clean, modern, attractive and had everything we could need for our stay… toiletries, kitchen fully equipped, towels, extra sheets, pillows and 3 outdoor areas to enjoy day and night. We loved the stargazing and that it was a dark community so we could see millions of stars. Overall a great place to stay!”

“We loved our stay here. It can feel warm when you enter for the first time, but there is some kind of special cooling system. It did make some noise. We preferred the cooling of the night and set the windows open. The kitchen was well equipped. We would have stayed longer if we were not on a schedule. At night we could see many stars. It was romantic.”

“If you’re looking for a unique experience and want to feel like a cowboy back in the day, this is it! Please note that you need a truck to get to this place, we had to use the four-wheel-drive on our truck. Don’t come in a car! It’s a good 30 or 40 minute drive to Big Bend from here.”

“We had a great stay at Boca de la Roca. The house is located at the top of the hill with a 360 degrees of amazing views and it is a short drive to the Big Band national park. Being there feels like you are transported into another, tranquil, world. Each of the well-appointed bedrooms has its own bathroom and the kitchen/leaving area is equipped with everything we needed. Maybe, having a toaster would be nice, but maybe it is intentionally not there as the house is solar powered. We would……

“Very nice and scenic place to stay in the desert for one or two people. About 20-30 minute drive to Study Butte/Terlingua and another 10-15 minutes to the entrance of Big Bend.”

“Fantastic stay at ten bits!! Lots of exploring and stargazing. Stayed in the courthouse! Bed was amazingly comfortable!”

“We didn't much like the distance from 118 but that is what it is. Otherwise, we liked it a lot. The trail and chairs outside were an unexpected pleasure. The deck and speakers were great. This time of year worked out very well since so many cactus species were blooming. The cabin was very comfortable. We had a couple issues with maintenance and one of them was fixed a couple days in. Well stocked kitchen with utensils, pans and glasses. The grill was nice but we were only able to use it once……

“The Camp Elena Ocotillo Tent 1 was impressive!! We weren't completely sure what to expect but this was glamping at it's finest! Having access to a small fridge, microwave, coffee and a sink worked out great for us. The bathroom was impeccable and had a lovely spa-type feel. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the blankets very warm and cozy, which made for a great nights sleep! The attached patio and grill were also very nice and we sat out there a good bit. We also enjoyed the firepit……
