“We had a great stay here. Quaint ski cabin with ample fun tucked away bunks for kids. This would be such a fun place to stay for two adult couples and 4plus kids ranging ages 5-12. With older teens the bunks are a bit small but the couch is the perfect place to unwind after a big ski day!”

“A very charming cabin with a neat family history. The house been decorated and renovated tastefully. It was perfect for a short getaway from Portland. My favorite things about the house... The upstairs bedroom and its view of the big cathedral window and the red lift chair. A rustic and small but a well equipped kitchen. I was able to cook every meal comfotably (we didnt eat out) and that is usually not possible in a rental. The layout of the main floor was perfect for my husband and our teenage……

“The cabin was incredible! Very comfortable, clean and cozy. It was exactly what are family needed for a quick getaway. We stayed through new years weekend, walking distance to local shops and restaurants. We’d love to stay again in the future. Perfect for our little family.”

It's clean, cozy, well appointed and very spacious! 5 bedrooms with 3 full baths, located at the end of long driveway, right near hiking trails and far enough from downtown Government Camp to feel secluded yet close enough to walk to the bars and restaurants. “we loved the Barlow cabin. Unfortunately, our second day there was a power outage from government camp all the way to Sandy, and we had to check out early. Carol and the team were great and very communicative the whole time we hope to come back up as soon as we can make it”

Unfortunately, there was a power outage in Government Camp coupled with subzero temperatures so we had to cut our stay short, but we look forward to returning next year.”

“The other reviews I saw gave this place a one star, this place was actually really nice and I don't really know why they thought it deserved such a low review. I only had to drop my review of it from 5 star because when I purchased my reservation it had 'Hot Tub' listed in the listing, which I am to gather from my conversation with the owner was a mistake. In any case, TL;DR, this place is very nice but does not have a hot tub but was listed with one when I made my reservation.”

“Beds on top floor, bath on 1st floor with steep stairway in between was a bit difficult. Fireplace damper did not seem to work properly and could not get it resolved. had power outage and left one day early due to weather concerns.”

“This spotlessly clean home is set far off the road in a woodland setting along a river. The large windows and light-colored wood make the home feel bright and cheery even on overcast days. The kitchen is well-supplied with nice cook ware and there is plenty of seating at the dining table. Our family (3-year old grandson, son/daughter-in-law, ourselves) had plenty of comfortable private and shared space.
