“Wunderschönes Hostel in einem Herrenhaus der Stadt. Hervorragender, sehr hilfsbereiter Herbergswirt. Im Hochsommer aber unbedingt 4-Bett-, nicht 2-Bettzimmer buchen, da letztere fensterlos und stickig sind.”

“Dar Ya is conveniently located in Tunis’ medina with friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and common areas, nice rooftop terrace, and great breakfast (both sweet and savoury options available). One downside was that the wifi was only available in the common courtyard, but not too big of a deal as there’s plenty of seating there.”

“Possible fraud concern. Although I booked and paid via Expedia online, the hostel owner requested I pay cash upon arrival. I have effectively double paid for my stay and hostel did not issue an official receipt. I would recommend NOT staying here. Instead look for a properly established hotel to avoid this situation. The price and trouble were not worth it.”
