“old facility, no guest laundry”

“I liked this hotel very much. It had a lot of charm for being an older hotel. There were some good restaurants right in the neighborhood. The staff was very nice and helpful especially with recommendations and directions. I would really like to stay here again on my next trip to Portland!”

“All staff were super friendly and helpful. Room on 8th floor was huge, corner room, good views and could just see the ocean. We were disappointed the 15th floor bar and restaurant was closed the evening we were there. But plenty of restaurants just 10 to 20 minutes walk down to the old port area. Some areas, especially the exterior, need some tlc!”

“We chose the Hampton Inn for its proximity to the waterfront where we planned to board a cruise ship. We arrived on an early flight but by noon they had our room ready. The room was comfortable, we didn't find a safe but had no problems. My one complaint was no cups in the bathroom which I only discovered after I finished brushing my teeth. Later I discovered there were plastic cups by the ice bucket we hadn't noticed. The included breakfast was good, and they kept it well stocked during……

“Liked most everything about our 5- night stay. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Also special shout out to Maggie (GSM) who resolved an issue quickly and to our satisfaction. Only negative I can think of is the Housekeeping staff needs to do a better job with cleaning the room. Especially since ours was a longer stay. ”

“Great location for a one night stop in Portland. Easy walk to restaurants. We went to Otto Pizza for pizza and beer. Very good. Room was comfortable and a great view of the city. ”

“The room was extremely clean and well stocked. The king bed was comfy and we love the pillows. There was some strert or harbor noise but that's to be expected for the location. Staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. ”

“We took the hotel shuttle from the airport and could walk everywhere in the old port area. Upgraded breakfast was quite good, with fresh and hot options daily. Just make sure to check your bill when you leave... Breakfast was included in our Expedia booking, but they charged us for it half of our stay.”
