"Lovely hotel, staff very efficient and good at what they do. Breakfast was lovely as well. However the hot tub, sauna etc wasn't available outside of the hours 7-10 in the morning. Granted the hotel is mainly for business people so wouldn't have expected the leisure facilities to be open in the middle od the day. However i would have expected them to be open in the evening, more so than between 8:30 & 10 in the morning."

"Star Lodge is a little way out of the centre of Utrecht but is conveniently located close to a bus line which takes you into the centre in a few minutes. The rooms are relatively basic but are large, clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful, although they did forget to tell us about the honesty bar until we were about to leave. "The room was exactly as pictured. Fantastic location- about a 15 minutes walk from train station and close to Domtower. Luckily weather was around 20C as room seemed to get hot and we could cool it with opening an outside door. We could not figure out how to set thermostat but didn’t ask for help. We faced back into courtyard. The church bells ring every 15 minutes with a longer ring on the hour- the bells a heard throughout the area.
