"This was the first time in a long time that I've stayed at a hotel with the doors on the outside. I was a bit concerned but the second I walked in, I was thoroughly impressed. This was literally the CLEANEST hotel I've ever stayed in. The breakfast was very tasty as well. "

"We stay here twice a year during trips to FL. This hotel consistently meets our family needs--clean, pet friendly, rooms big enough for 6, and a decent breakfast. The pool was also working this trip so that was a bonus! The linens were clean/new and the room is quiet. Great location near plenty of dining options. AC worked great too. I don't care for carpets in the room and the electrical outlets are so loose they don't hold plugs in, but overall I can deal with that."

"Hotel check in was very quick and hotel clerk was very friendly, efficient, and considerate. Hotel is overall very nice and convenient to the highway and the Casino. The only issue I had was that the bathroom floor was not very clean and very sticky. It had some dirt marks on it."

"Such a beautiful mansion with fascinating history. The staff were all extremely friendly and went above and beyond in their service. It was lovely to sit in one of the rockers on the front porch in the evening and read. The breakfast was delicious and the table was beautifully set. The tour after breakfast is definitely worth it so don't skip it. It was full of interesting information and history. I'd stay again, with pleasure. "

"What a welcome sight after a long drive! Steele’s Cottage is situated on the heights above Vicksburg’s riverfront and the Mississippi River, in a quiet leafy setting. The cottage is an attractive classic, as was our comfortable room - Mrs. Steele’s Bedroom. We’ll long remember our good night’s sleep, tasty dinner at Rusty’s Riverside Grill, and pleasant breakfast in the elegant Duff Green Mansion. A highly recommended experience!"
