“Location was awesome, far enough way from all the noise, super quiet and very relaxing. However I don't understand the theory behind the ( No Children ) policy but yes to dogs ??? the neighbor had not 1 but 2 dogs that were left in the room alone and so they must have crapped on the floor because the smell was awful and stayed that way until the couple next retuned and cleaned the mess, The dogs barked all day while the owners were away. BUT Lastly was the fact that A/C was locked and the nights……

“We love staying at Carter Creek Resort. This was our 4th visit. We are disappointed in the menu change at the restaurant. The menu and food was always so good. The limited menu leaves few choices and the burger we purchased was over cooked and the bun burned. 😞. It would be great to have a cart station where they are more accessible to some of the villas that are not close to the office. It was difficult to control our AC in 1403. “WONDERFUL rustic cabin in a rural area of Texas Hill country. We stayed in the “German Chocolate” cabin for 4 nights during the solar eclipse and throughly enjoyed our stay. Easy 2 mile drive to Fredericksburg. Lovely baked goods waiting for us on our arrival, plus Sophie’s Bakery is right down the road where additional goodies are available! Would definitely stay here again!”

“I thought I was booking another RB&B closer to town that was larger so when I arrived, it was a little bit chaotic with my partner. She was a bit disappointed, but overall we were very happy with the facilities and I would recommend it. Two little snafus, one the yard man was mowing and weeding when we arrived and not his fault he was having to work around the weather conditions and he was there as we were leaving mowing the front yard. “I booked our stay at Monarc Ranch for the April 8 eclipse, when we had a problem with our previous booking. We stayed for 2 nights for a family of 4 (including our 5 and 3 year old boys). Despite the cloudy weather affecting our eclipse viewing, everything about the lodging was outstanding. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed, including fresh baked biscuits, cinnamon rolls and a frittata in the fridge, and candy, s'mores ingredients etc. My kids loved the goodies in the cabin,……

“The house was secluded enough to be relaxing and peaceful but close to Fredericksburg’s main attractions. It could have used a bit more tidying before our arrival. There was food from the previous tenant left in the fridge and dead crickets in one of the rooms along with a dead scorpion behind the door. The rest of the house was quaint and what would be expected of an old ‘farmhouse’.”
