“We just spent a truly wonderful weekend at the Sunburst House -- our second stay this year. This time we used the house as a base for skiing. We traveled one day up at Bromley Mountain near Manchester (about 45 min) and another at the small local Willard Mountain (about 15 min). Our group really enjoyed the house because it's cozy but it's very large. It's historic but it's neither old feeling nor overly precious (it was toasty warm too on two very cold days). It's just a very well appointed……

“Lovely home! Tranquility at it's finest! Babbling brook going through the back yard! Family enjoyed cooking meals together in a huge kitchen! Enjoyed fires in the wood burning stove! Enjoyed the scenery hiking the 45 arce property. Enjoyed interacting with the goats, chickens, and ducks next door. 9 and 11 y/o had a blast. Host of the property was very accessible to whatever we needed! Our check out day we visited historic Bennington (historic street from the revolutionary war era). I can go on……

“Constance was more than helpful in communicating and accessing our Thanksgiving stay. She has done a superb job of renovating: top notch. The most impressive aspect is the furnishings especially the kitchen which is amply stocked. We look forward to our return stay!”

“This house was a homerun. It was so clean and up to date; the small touches like the chargers in every room, and the kid friendly play area made staying in the house a joy. The back porch was basically our oasis for morning coffee, toddlers naptime reading and late night relaxing. The beds were very comfortable and the crib was in a room with blackout curtains, which made putting a feral 2yo to bed a cinch. They also had a training potty, and a high chair, which tells me this owner really enjoys……

“Weekend reunion with my family. The property was very nice. Rooms spacious and clean. The only negative thing I would say is the listing should state accommodations for 6 adults and 2 children or get a larger bed. One of the bedrooms the bed was very short and not a full size. Our shortest sister ended up with that room; however, her 6’2” husband ended up on the couch. Other than that we had a great reunion.”

“We were happy to find a spot close to family. Even better it fit myself, my wife and our two kids (4 and 7) with room to spare. Even when we visti family, we like to get our own place so we can get the kids to bed and answer a few emails at night. This house was perfect for us! It would also work if you just want a country get away.”

“We loved our stay. We had two families with small children. The kids loved the swingset and it was a great location overall. Only wish was for outdoor grilling. Highly recommend!”

“Beautiful property, very well maintained and with good access to nearby towns and attractions. We enjoyed the swimming pond and sampled the garden produce. A lovely place to vacation.”

“We loved our stay at the chalet. It's perfectly situated in the cutest little neighborhood, while also feeling very secluded. The chalet had everything we needed for our stay. While visiting we walked a few of the trails nearby, part of the Valley Trail and the Hoot, Toot and Whistle. They were both perfect for our pups, especially during hunting season. We gave our pups an extra squeeze in honor of Scarlet. Thank you for sharing your place with us! We would love to stay again!!”
