When we arrived, we were greeted by someone who apparently did not enjoy being there. Check-in was quick and the room was clean. The vending machine outside our room gave us the wrong drink and the front desk refused to do anything at all about it and basically insinuated that we pushed the wrong button. Instead of trying to do anything at all, they just said we had to call the vending company. We did just that, but received no answer and a week later haven't received any return call. The remote didn't work, so I called the front desk, but no one would answer. Finally when a different shift came on at 11 pm, she was able to resolve the issue. The bed was okay, not great. Pillows were hard. It just wasn't a great experience overall. Checkout was 11 am and right on the button housekeeping was knocking on our door. We have stayed at several Microtel's, but I believe this was the worst. I wouldn't stay at this particular one again.
