“Some descriptions from website are different from the real situation. Perhaps I misunderstood that it is more like a camp site rather than hotel or hostel. (But this accommodation is listed in hotels.com!!!) The worst thing is that we needed to drive as many as seven minutes in order to go to our hut from the reception and the last day we needed to drive again to drop off the key. Accordingly, the direct path between them has been closed and so we needed to drive a big circle. Not easy to reach……

“We highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a place to stay in Yosemite. The property is clean and safe surrounding. Nice view. The only thing we didn’t like is when our cars was been pulled and park in the different spot. I believed they have a hiking trail that they want to clear the drive way but there’s an enough place to park and pass even if our cars are park in front of our rental cabin. This is the only thing that I didn’t like that. It’s so inconvenient to walk and get……

“We had an issue with finding lots of giant winged ants crawling on the carpet and a couple black beetles as well. Especially when we turned heater on they would appear out of nowhere near the vents making me think they came from the vents. Needs an exterminator visit to spray around the house. It didn’t ruin our stay though! We just killed them when we would see them with paper towels and we only saw them in the day not at night which isn’t a huge issue since we were mostly out on hikes. “The cabin is well equipped and decorated with memorabilia from the 50’s and 60’s. I recognized so much from my youth…my teenage granddaughters were shocked hear me identify people and things they never heard of. Truly a step back in time. “Lisa’s property is located about 20 minutes from Yosemite Valley. VRBO provides detailed instructions so far as directions and accessing and using the property. It is in nice condition aside from a couple of funky faucets that could use a plumber’s attention. We found it very comfortable and well furnished. “We loved this property! So spacious and comfortable. Perfect for the six of us. An easy 45 minute drive to Yosemite Valley. Loved the wood burning stove. The kitchen was spacious, the beds were comfy. A late season storm almost snowed us in. The owners’ staff were incredibly helpful and kind. They brought us a snow shovel and even helped find some snow chains for our car. We’re definitely coming back to this house!”

Not so much this time through VRBO/Vacasa. #1. There is no phone in the unit. There are signs all over that tell you a number to call with issues, but that number is to an out of state place... not someone local to deal with anything.. “We had a good stay here once we were able to get into the house--the message we received with check-in information provided both the wrong house number and wrong door code. We could not reach the property manager to get the correct code (granted, we arrived at around 11pm and VRBO was able to eventually reach them), but fortunately we guessed the correct code. The wifi also went out completely 2 days into our stay. The house did have everything we needed and proximity to the valley was great.”

It was very comfortable, warm, and quiet after a long day of hiking in the rain and cold. It's about an hour drive from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. “This beautiful little cottage is the perfect spot to visit the Yosemite National Park. It has everything you need when you come back from a trip to the park. It’s so lovingly furnished and has all equipment what is needed to have a comfortable stay. The cottage is situated in a wonderful area surrounded by vineyards.
