“We booked very last minute and Karen couldn’t have been more helpful! We needed a base near Snowdon and this is a 15 minute drive away. The site itself is just what you’d hope : a bar ( Friday night was bingo!), a lovely river, the grounds beautifully kept and a well stocked shop with all sorts from loo roll to jewellery! The chalet was spotless, very well equipped and incredibly comfortable, with lovely touches that help to create that home from home feel. Parking was easy in September, we were……

“We were surprised that we had to pay extra for heat in the property by purchasing heat credit. The property had a horrible Mildeu smell, which was present even with the windows open. Inside, it was very tired and very small. There is no way it sleeps five comfortably. The larger bed in the main bedroom was uncomfortable with a worn-out foam mattress. It was so painful that I went outside and slept in my car. Additionally, when I woke up, I had beetles crawling on my feet. After we returned……

“Where to start. The only positive comment is that the holiday park that the property is situated is lovely, with good facilities. If I was the owner of the park, I wouldn't allow this cottage to be associated with it. Now for the negatives. 1. Firstly the picture shown on the website is nothing like the property looks like and should be removed. Its an old terraced cottage. That needs a lot of TLC to the front and rear of the property. 2. The description of the property also does not tell……

“Beautiful cottage, spectacular scenery (when the weather is clear) Our weather wasn't great (storm Katherine!!) so low cloud obscured the view in the mornings. Gorgeous location, we met the hosts and they are lovely. Lots of places to visit. I have mobility issues otherwise a walk up on the hills would have been wonderful. Very well equipped and we would definitely come back.”

“My partner and I (and my dog) stayed Monday to Wednesday and honestly did not want to leave. The cottage is so welcoming, quirky and excellently equipped. The views are stunning and we can’t wait to return in the summer. We knew the weather wouldn’t be great when we booked so came well prepared. The beach close by was amazing even in the wind and rain. Sam the dog loved it and so did we. Perfect for blowing off the cobwebs. The log burner made the evenings so cosy and relaxing. People round and……

“Great location and our room no 21 was very well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious with a power shower and very clean. We had breakfast which was superb value for money and the service outstanding. This is a pub/hotel full of character. The staff here are friendly and accommodating. We will be back”
