“Nice flat with lovely views of the quay. Very clean and well equipped. Nice detail having water in the fridge on our arrival. Great base to explore Stranraer and surrounding area.”

“We just loved our stay at Saltwater Chronicles. Beautiful, newly decorated lodge with a brilliant view of the sea. We loved walking along the rocks, exploring the caves, walking up through the stunning green glen to the impressive waterfalls. The two lochs are so pretty. Every member of the team we encountered on the estate was friendly and welcoming. The meals we ordered from the kitchen were delicious. Communications were quick and helpful. We can’t wait to return.”

“Great property, in a fab location, lots of walks nearby just a short drive. Woods to the rear of the property, ideal if you have dogs. Found some great places to eat not to far away, Morrisons delivers to the property. Ideal for multi generational or multiple families! We loved the peace and quiet, along with seeing deer in the garden!”

“Great spot for exploring Galloway. Hot tub overlooking the forest, and walks starting straight from the cabin. Wildlife all around. Note that it is attached to another cabin & a farm, so it's not isolated - but we did feel like we had privacy. Otherwise a washing machine could be a good addition. Dave & Becky were very helpful, we'd definitely come back!”

“The property was nice and clean with everything provided(apart from towels), Including free wifi, which was a nice surprise. One small criticism would be the mattress. They were a bit soft but that can be a personal thing. Anyway, lovely cozy property and i would have no hesitation visiting again in the future.”

“We had a fabulous two weeks at Laggansally. The house was spacious and very comfortable with everything we needed and more. The kitchen was very well equipped and the table was ideal as it was big enough for a 2000 piece jigsaw whilst still leaving plenty of room for four of us to eat / play games. Two good sized sofas in the lounge gave us plenty of space to spread out if we were watching tv although most of the time we were out and about or playing games. The location of the cottage was……

“We stayed 6 Nights and found a cottage with very modern furniture, all you Need in the kitchen, own BBQ Grill Outside including Picnic Area. Allthough Its in the countryside, with a lot of nature around (trees, River, sheep, Cattle, birds and Flowers- you have a stabile wifi Connection. So What ever you seek- you are able to totally relax and disconnect or connect via the net. The Host family is Nice and live also on the ground in case you Need anything. Galloway Forest Park is nearby with walks……

“House is very well designed and furnished to a very high standard and us only a 10 minute walk from the village and 5 minute walk to the golf course. The views from the decking area are beautiful. We were met by our host Kate who could not have been more helpful. Lots of beautiful walks with breath taking scenery.”

The property is homely and cosy (especially once the coal fire is up and running!) and the large kitchen areas made cooking and dining together very straightforward for our group of six. The local pub is less than 10 minutes' walk, although make sure to take a torch if you'll be returning in the dark! I would highly recommend Seabank to anyone looking for a base to explore the nearby walks and sights, or just for a quiet getaway.”

“It was a really cute bed and breakfast. The shower wasn't the best I almost flooded the bathroom. But it was cute and the staff and environment were great. ”
