“Great spot for exploring Galloway. Hot tub overlooking the forest, and walks starting straight from the cabin. Wildlife all around. Note that it is attached to another cabin & a farm, so it's not isolated - but we did feel like we had privacy. Otherwise a washing machine could be a good addition. Dave & Becky were very helpful, we'd definitely come back!”

“The property was nice and clean with everything provided(apart from towels), Including free wifi, which was a nice surprise. One small criticism would be the mattress. They were a bit soft but that can be a personal thing. Anyway, lovely cozy property and i would have no hesitation visiting again in the future.”

“Myself and my wife booked this cottage as I was competing in a mountain bike event nearby. The cottage was perfect for our needs with large modern bright rooms and ample space. The garden looked very well kept with patio doors leading onto it. The parking itself was ideal with a courtyard immediately outside, just make sure you have checked the exact location first as the last 100m or so are on a narrow gravel road which isn't the obvious way if you haven't checked it out first.I would……

“We stayed 6 Nights and found a cottage with very modern furniture, all you Need in the kitchen, own BBQ Grill Outside including Picnic Area. Allthough Its in the countryside, with a lot of nature around (trees, River, sheep, Cattle, birds and Flowers- you have a stabile wifi Connection. So What ever you seek- you are able to totally relax and disconnect or connect via the net. The Host family is Nice and live also on the ground in case you Need anything. Galloway Forest Park is nearby with walks……

“We had an amazing stay at Kenmure Kennels. The house was more than big enough to accommodate our party of 10. A beautiful house, lovely views, comfy beds and well equipped. Would definitely hope to stay again.”

“So peaceful! We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed some great mountain biking. Lots of wildlife and very good wild swimming.”

“Park Cottage is set in a lovely location in Cally Woods (so many great walks and cycle opportunities). Also with use of the Cally Palace Hotel facilities including the swimming pool. However the house was unclean, especially the kitchen with unusable pans and not enough cutlery to sit 9 people in one setting. There was black mould on the downstairs bathroom ceiling. Such a shame as the cottage is a great space for families and could be lovely, but when I have fed back about these issues I have……

“Cosy retreat, away from the hustle and bustle. Simplistic but everything we needed. Beautiful walks. Great and safe for our elderly dog who enjoyed the freedom. Good location to visit lochs etc.”

“A very comfortable and warm house,we all enjoyed ourselves,4 adults and the dogs!Joan and her husband were very friendly,we were welcomed by Joan on our arrival.It was hsrd to.leave as we were settled and comfortable. “A great trip in a very warm and cozy shepherd's hut. Fantastic hosts who couldn't do more to make our stay enjoyable. All the facilities are excellent and the hut is in a beautiful location.”

“Very pleased with the size of the rooms . The lounge had enough seating for all of our party (11) and the large dining table was excellent. The bedrooms were roomy, including a couch as well as beds. The only downside was the 3 bathrooms were some distance away. A toilet at either end would have been more practical. The kitchen was rather small but well equipped.”

“A perfect little cabin in a perfect location. We had a cold clear night and can confirm that the sky is huge and beautiful! It's cosy, the bed is comfy and the hosts were lovely. We will definitely be back 😁”

“It’s a nice hotel in need of some investment. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice, but the restaurant was unbearably hot, air conditioning is required or at the least the ability to open windows for fresh air. Thank goodness there was a conservatory where you could have dinner. ”
