“What an unusual experience to stay in such a remote place. Our greatest pleasures were sitting on the outside bench watching life go by and all the remote walks we took. Plus…. the amazing piano! “This is a great house for a crowd with open, welcoming kitchen/living room with a view in an amazing isolated spot overlooking a beach along the NC500. Sheep in the front and the waterfall a wee walk in the back. Good spot for a family or a big group of friends (lots of twin beds, and nearly all rooms have private bath) with amazing facilities to feed a big group (two dishwashers, two fridges, good pots, pans etc). The AGA kept things toasty, and there were loads of games, books and you can……

“The cottage was in a very scenic and peaceful setting which suited us. We used the cottage as a base for some local walks and other walks further afield. We discovered that the cottage was about 10 miles from the nearest main road and it took about 30 to 40 minutes of driving on a single track road to get to the main road. The nearest grocery stores were in Lochinver. There was quite a lot of traffic on the single track road,with people visiting the lovely beaches at Auchmelvich and Clactoll.……

Abgerundet wird diese sehr positive Erfahrung durch den ausgesprochen freundlichen Umgang mit den Vermietern der Ferienwohnung, die für Rückfragen oder Tipps für Ausflugsziele gerne zur Verfügung standen! “Very comfy and cosy house, it’s in a small village which isn’t clear but has a lovely back and front garden. Just a quick walk to the amazing beach The road I thought might be busy with 500 ers but they had to drive slowly so wasn’t noisy. Bring a sharp knife!”

“We had a nice stay in the pods, you are really thrown into nature. The check-in is through a keybox so you can arrive when you want. There was a good detailed explenation of the surroundings.”

“The property is well heated but the lean to bathroom is cold and damp . Covid 19 save doubtful, loose rugs, sheepskin mattress covers cushions etc. Shower head leaking stuck together with tape. Outside space lovely”

“Lovely place with fantastic views and a sunset to die for. 2 mins walk to beach, very peaceful. The whole place was very high end and well cared for. Sean greeted us at the property, handed us slippers and showed us round. Even brought us 2 chairs for the patio when we asked. We felt we were in a 5* hotel and a little bit nervous of living up to the exacting standards...every surface was covered, even the sofa. Notices everywhere! Despite that we loved every minute. Only things missing..a dish……

“Wir waren mit 5 Personen für 2 Wochen dort. Das Haus ist sehr groß und geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. 3 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder mit WC sind vorhanden. Sehr schön ist der Wintergarten. Die Lage eignet sich gut für Wanderausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung. Die Landschaft ist atemberaubend schön, egal ob an der Küste oder im Landesinneren. Auto ist aufgrund der abgelegenen Lage notwendig. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war unkompliziert.”

“Lovely location as a base to explore the North West coast of the Highlands. Spacious house, good wood burner, good sized rooms, well equipped kitchen with all you'd expect. My only complaint would be a lack of some sundries, such as there were only a few toilet rolls between us 7 adults and 2 children - 2 out of the 3 bathrooms we used ran out of toilet paper. We also felt they were a bit stingy with laundry detergent - something which again we ran out of and had to buy our own. The other……
