“It was cold early April. At night around 29 degrees, but up to 65 in the sunny afternoon. We were two couples and a dad with an 11 year old, which was an awkward fit for the space. The 11 year old was very happy with the small porch room with the day bed. The 56 year old dad tolerated the small upstairs room that was the gateway to the huge attic bedroom, where I and my partner slept. “We have been coming to Lake Chautauqua for 20 years and this is the best home that we have rented . The house has a great dock for at least 2 boats. The house is nicely updated with all things necessary to make a great stay. The house is clean with plenty of room for a large family. The owners are very quick to respond to any problems that you might have. Our group has rented this home twice, and are looking forward to returning.”

“We were a group of 8 friends celebrating our 80th birthdays and 60 years in nursing where we all met. This place was as it was pictured on the website. The views of the lake from every room and great sunsets. The air was on in the house when we arrived and the weather was very chilly. CalledJanelle and she immediately raised the temperature and made it very comfortable for us. We had so much fun playing games, visiting the state park and we even took a small trip to New York. We never turned on……

“Overall everything was fine”

“The house is listed as a mansion. It did not meet my impression of a mansion. It is beautif on the inside but needs some updates. The space for the kids and all the different areas was great. The grounds were under repair and there was no private outdoor space. We did not realize, but there was no bathtub. The property manager was wonderful.”

The size and layout of the place was perfect since at the time of booking I wasn't sure how many people we'd have. Everything we needed was there and the place was clean and easy to settle into.
