“My husband and I came up to Minnesota to go birding at Sax Zim Bog, and we found this great cottage. It was the perfect place! It was very close to Sax Zim Bog, and it was close to the gas station and Wilbert Cafe in town. It was a great size, newly designed, nice appliances to cook our own meals, very comfortable bed, nice bathroom with a large shower. The owner really thought of everything when it comes to small details as well like extra supplies, smart tvs, starlink wifi that worked really……

“The yurt is perfect, with all the amenities for a relaxed stay in nature. The owners have provided all the access to power, water, heating to make it like a well appointed hotel room, but in the country and with windows all around. I could happily watch the sky through the skylight for hours.”

“We had a small group of guys that wanted to do a golfing and fly fishing trip. Staying at Lester River Pines was the perfect spot for us. Beautiful chunk of land with a deck that provides beautiful sunrise views over a pond. We particularly enjoyed the large kitchen as it was easy to work in while cooking. There were towels and toiletries laid out in every room and the house was very clean. From start to finish our experience was top notch and we will definitely look to book here again in……

“This place was awesome! Beautiful & perfect for our small casual wedding reception & family stay! The only thing I could recommend to the owners is to provide some hand lotion in the bathroom & kitchens. We did use the oven to warm up some food & found an issue due to someone leaving a broiler pan full of grease in the bottom causing a smoke issue but were able to resolve it with removing the pan & using fans & and windows to clear the smoke. We did clean the pan & the dirty dishes that were……

“We enjoyed our stay in this home! Lakefront views are beautiful. Neighborhood is quiet and wooded yet easy access to Duluth. Lots of seating for relaxing. The layout of the house is curious - as mentioned in some of the other reviews, the bedroom and bathroom in the loft are somewhat open to the living area which makes it feel less private - not a problem for us but may be a consideration depending on your group. The kitchen is well-stocked and has a lot of counter space for meal prep. Host……

“The loft is amazing, lovely decor with all the necessities and more! Shelia and Darrin are the best hosts we have ever encounter with our rental stays - so friendly and generous. We loved the boathouse and the sauna and Darrin always offered to get the sauna started for us! The location couldn’t be more beautiful, the private lake is so peaceful and you are surrounded by beautiful trees! During our stay we saw some amazing northern lights! A total bonus to an already amazing stay! We look……

“Despite the cool rainy day, we had a cozy little cabin to celebrate our anniversary. The hot tub was a nice too. Great for a glamping experience. The house is really close but inside the cabin you would never know it.”

“I loved the easy entry to the property. Using a number I know instead of something I would need to remember makes it a breeze. The amenities were great. Very clean. The rug in front of the main door kept getting caught under the door because of the fluffy carpet which was inconvenient so I moved it. I would stay here again and recommend it to others!”

We hiked through the woods and found the little waterfalls right from the property. We even got to see a bear on our last night. The property had everything we needed.”

You wouldn't know it by just parking by their garage since they're place is over the hill down to the lake. They were so good with being respective of space since they stay downstairs.
