“Had a lovely one night stay. The surroundings were lovely and lodge was clean with plenty of facilities. Lovely decor and was great sitting outside.”

“I stayed overnight at CrossBasket Castle with my boyfriend as he received a generous voucher for the Michel Roux Jr tasting menu. The hotel and staff are absolutely brilliant and extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. The food is exquisite and it’s possibly one of the finest cheese boards we have ever had. Look forward to retuning one day.”

“We had a lovely stay at Herdshill Guest House. Easy to find, easy to park and a really friendly, helpful and welcoming owner. Everything was spotlessly clean, we had a big room for 3 adults with a bathroom and great shower - plenty of hot water. The bedroom was spacious with large windows so the room was light and airy, even though we stayed during a mini-heatwave! The house is beautiful, we sat in the comfortable lounge reading our books and also went for a walk on the disused railway opposite……

“Well situated in a rustic setting with a beautiful Loch walk 5 mins away. Room was clean and bright. By far the best asset were the staff always cheerful and friendly and genuinely concerned that the stay was a pleasant experience. I loved the place and hope to be back. ”
