“Westwind is located in beautiful natural environment in the woods and by the water. Sport equipments is available such as boats, bicycles and the modest version of the golf range. Gardens are beautifully arranged and the native canadian plants such as trillium were blooming. Looking forward to enjoy this quite place again.”

“We have been renting cottages on these lakes for years and really enjoyed our stay at this island cottage. The views were amazing, there was more than enough space for our family and the cottage was spotless when we got there. The owners were easy to get a hold of and very responsive when answering questions. We loved eating outside on the big deck. We also really enjoyed the floating lounge right off the dock. We would rebook again for sure!”

“Great location, Shopping and dining all are in walking distance. Lots of activities for free, like canoe, kayak, paddle boat. And motor boats for rent as well . The water shoreline is so beautiful. The only downside is internet speed is kind of slow.”

The location is magic with a beautiful vista, clean, clear air, the sounds of loons on the lake and most of all the glorious peace and quiet. The no motor rule on the lake is brilliant. Tom and Christina could not be more helpful and accommodating. The cottage is immaculate and well equipped. We love it.”

“We rented this cabin for a girls weekend . The property was as advertised, rustic. But the water frontage , dock, location was beautiful. The correspondence with the property owner was seem-less . Water is not potable but the water coolers were convenient. Excellent outdoor space which was precisely what we wanted !”

“The cottage was beautiful, spacious and could easily accommodate our big family with every amenity. We loved the backyard, the dock and the gorgeous sunsets! The kids loved canoeing on the lake and hanging out in the hot tub. The host was a pleasure to deal with and checked on us throughout to make sure all was going well. We had a wonderful family vacation at this property!”

“We loved this cottage. Our teenagers could take out the kayaks and our one year old could splash around on the nice sandy beach. We loved the screened in porch and had a couple of fires at the fire pit. It’s an older cottage and there isn’t much privacy as far as sound goes inside but we loved the character of the place. The lake was lovely and weed free as described and we were swimming every day. There were a lot of chipmunks around and they are able to get into the screened in porch which was……

“We had a great relaxing weekend here. Property manager Andy was very friendly and easy going. He set us up with firewood and got us set up with the pontoon boat we rented to use for the weekend. Our cottage was right on the lazy river so we made sure to float down it in the provided tubes. Overall great low key weekend on beautiful Buckhorn Lake.”

“The home and its surrounding were ideal for those who want to relax and enjoy nature. The Host (Andy) and other people we met to include other "cottagers" were extremely friendly and helpful. We even had an unexpected evening delivery of firewood (free of charge) while sitting around the camp fire. On Saturday, there was a Karaoke that was enjoyed by many to include our group. My kids (in their 30s) even met new friends and stayed out late enjoying the campfire with their new friends. Highly……
