"The property overlooks a beautiful lake where we enjoyed seeing the geese, a crane, and even a turkey visit. The house provided great space for us and our dogs. The kids loved the game room. It is a convenient getaway with Shelby just a few minutes away and Gardner-Webb University being about 25 minutes away. Definitely will come back."

"Staying here was an amazing experience and everything we needed for a quick trip to Ellensboro and Shelby area. Karen was amazing in meeting with and us when we arrived and also showing us around the property/facilities. We were not traveling with horses but would definitely consider returning with horses in the future. Thank you Karen for an amazing experience and very clean and comfortable place to sleep!"

"I am from Gastonia and many of my family members are still living there. When I come visit, I typically couch surf at a sibling’s home, but during the holidays everyone had a full house. I opted to rent a place for me, my husband, two children and two small dogs. This home was PERFECT! Walking distance to cute little boutique shops, bars, restaurants and breweries. This area is quickly up and coming and the home is beautiful. This is now going to be my home away from home when we come visit....

"It's a large, clean room. The location is in ideal country setting, close to all the Hickory area has to offer. The host were attentive and responsive to any of our concerns. The only advice I would offer is have a couple of comfortable chairs and perhaps a microwave. Would gladly stay here again. Highly recommend."
