"It was a wonderful little house and was perfect for us to get away for a few days. I loved the kitchen, everything was clean and the overall feel was homey. We are thinking about bringing the grandchildren for a weekend next summer. Our host was accommodating, very pleasant and the welcome note with dining recommendations was much appreciated. They will love the large yard and it is close to beachfront parks and playgrounds so it will be perfect!"

"Nice clean cottage, stocked with alot of little extras to sweeten the stay! Everything you need to relax and kick back. I LOVED the beach for rock collecting and found some keepers! "We greatly enjoyed our time here. As soon as we walked in, it felt like home. The home is very roomy and yet, very comfy. Plenty of sleeping areas, entertainment areas, provided everything needed for a great family getaway. Firepit and being steps away from the lake with breathtaking sunrises was a plus - the memories made, were unforgettable! Host is very responsive. I had several questions as we weren't familiar with the Lexington area and she was very accommodating with lots of suggestions...

"My husband and I do a weekend getaway every year. This year we selected a VRBO versus a hotel. It was perfect! The view was amazing, location was perfect. The cottage was very cute, very clean and perfect for just the two of us. Doreen the host was spot on. Her communication was great, very accommodating and helpful. "We were in town for a funeral and needed a place for our extended family to stay. My wife and I, our 2 daughters and their spouses, as well as 4 grandkids. This property was perfect, very spacious, and had plenty to keep the kids busy both inside and outside. Very peaceful country setting with a beautiful pond and outdoor sitting areas. Will definitely stay again when in the area."

"We had an awesome time. We ordered pizza from Sweetwater and enjoyed it on the patio overlooking the water …what a view! We also had Joyce come out and teach us a craft which was very fun. "Very friendly reception personnel, the gentleman who checked us in was super friendly. Efficient check in and out. The room was clean and a very comfortable bed and firm exactly how I like it. The breakfast was a very basic continental, with waffles and oatmeal being the only hot items on offer. The hotel has no elevators but overall was in good shape, although the corridors were starting to show their age and the carpet on the stairs to the second floor was wornout and urgently required replacing. I understand renovations were in the works. Overall a good one night stay and could stay here again. "
