“A proper Christmas story Arrived to find hotel had closed down No room at the Inn”

“Estate easy to find from main road. quiet location and only a short drive to silver parking. Tried the New Inn nearby. excellent pub grub.”

“Our room was on the first floor, above the pub. You can probably imagine how busy it can get at night. We can clearly hear everything from downstairs which make us cannot sleep. The whole building is old ”

“After driving from Le Mans and a Ferry from Calais this hotel was just what we needed. Such a beautiful building decorated and furnished perfectly. Although not having a disability we stayed in the room adapted for disabled people. Having previously been in the caring profession I couldn't see anything that could be improved. The fittings did not hamper me or my partner who are able bodied. The room was warm and welcome tea/coffee kettle etc. in the room. Breakfast was delicious and choices……

“城堡本身非常古老，环境也很幽静，室内摆设都极大保留了历史特色。酒店原则上不接受8岁以下儿童入住，我们带着一个4岁的孩子，虽然无法进入餐厅用餐，但是可以叫room service在房间吃早餐。早餐很丰富味道也很好。是一次很满意的经历。”

“We were made very welcome, our room was lovely and warm (important as it was very cold and frosty), lovely and clean. Bathroom with a bath, but no shower. Large, comfortable bed. Very cosy. Breakfast was great and kept us going on our 10 mile walk that day. We had a lovely evening meal in the pub, which was well cooked and presented. Staff were very friendly and helpful.”

“Comfortable modern facilities”

“Comfortable hotel. Not easily accessible for those with mobility problems. Parking is an issue. But the hotel itself is very nice. Breakfasts are good. The restaurant offers good options for dinner. Nice bar. The pool is fantastic, the garden is lovely, and there are great walking possibilities. Some rooms have cosy balconies, but try to avoid loud weddings. ”
