“We really enjoyed our stay at this location, it’s a hidden gem with beautiful countryside around it, a great host couple, and many places to explore close by. Our 4 year old daughter loved the horses, alpacas and dogs on the property. Great long weekend location outside DC. Very cozy, well maintained house.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location, cabin size, cleanliness, amenities (even including Christmas treats!) were all outstanding! We loved the fireplace, and the walk to the local pond. We really appreciated being able to have our two dogs with us. Our daughter and family live in the area, and we look forward to staying again when we come to visit!”

“We required an overnight stay near Shenandoah, and this place was an ideal fit. Unfortunately, it wasn't the best time to explore Shenandoah.I wish that the last mile of the road would be paved with asphalt next time.”

“House is clean and very nicely updated. Kitchen is well equipped with everything needed. Bedrooms and bathroom are very well done and comfortable. Location and neighborhood are great; very close to Main street, parks, and Skyline drive. Backyard is very large and fully fenced. Any additional comfy chair would be a great addition in the family room. Some of the stairs to upstairs are slanted down and make them feel slippery. We would recommend anti slip treads to stairs. Would definitely rent……

“My sister and I rented this guest home for a getaway weekend. Mary and Jay were incredibly welcoming hosts who clearly love their animals, and are eager to share their experience with them if you are interested. Incredibly, almost all of the animals on their farm - cats, dogs, mini donkey, horses, and one of the alpacas - loved being petted. The location is beautiful, private, and peaceful. Grateful for their hospitality.”

“This was exactly as advertised and better! The decor and feel of the unit were lovely. The exposed stone was so inviting and the unit was the perfect size for a quick romantic getaway. Just blocks to restaurants and downtown was a huge plus. The unit is amazing and the owner is fantastic!”

“The breakfast time must be extended until 10 am for all the days. The towels must be replaced by the hotel everyday.”

“Worked for our needs- 2 adults and a dog- but the hot tub is really the only bonus. House is small and clean and kitchen stocked etc but the beds and furniture not super comfortable and lacking any charm or extras that most VRBOs provide.”

“We had a lovely stay at this property, and found the staff to be very polite and helpful. While the property is under renovation, we were out from 9am-5pm daily and didn’t hear any construction noise during our stay. The property is certainly older and needs the renovation. The pool is closed while they are renovating. The breakfast was quite nice with a variety of options. One note is that I’m not sure the heat was working properly because it was cold every night. Even though we had the heat on……
