"Had a lovely stay in Shiskine! The only thing I worried about was the proximity to the road but so few cars drove by, especially at night, that it is no problem at all. Peaceful and quiet. The tiny house/pod is just as promised in the pictures. I had a fantastic time exploring the surroundings of the lighthouse and of course all the beaches nearby. The beach below the property was basically a private one (in October), as I only saw a couple of other people once."

"This property was our favorite one on the trip. The beach was so close and the rooms nice and large. Having two bathrooms suited us perfectly and having a wash basin in each bedroom was incredibly convenient. Parking was right in front of the door. The kitchen even had sugar and some other items that we did not have to get. The traditional style was very homey. I would stay here again if in this area on a return visit."

"Great place. Views are fantastic.Cottage was very comfortable, clean and good size for 5 of us. A little out of the way of Gairloch @17min drive but no big deal as we were travelling around the area each day. Recommended."

"The pictures that accompany this listing do not begin to describe the stunning beauty of this place. The ocean and the surrounding mountains are breath-taking! "Where do I start? I guess first, the location, at the very north of Skye. Peaceful, serene, evenings with nary a sound but the sheep bleating in the distance. Second, the lovely Lorraine, who left us a hand written note on our arrival and baked us shortbread cookies to start our full day on Skye (during which my daughter became engaged at Neist Point). Third, the lovely remodeled Croft house, perfectly appointed and perfect for our every need. A truly exceptional experience for us in every way....

"We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. "

"The location of this property is perfect! It was fairly central to all we wanted to see on Skye. The view is great and it is a short hike to a beach which was a great was to spend the mornings. The lodge was cery comfortable and made us feel at home."

"We absolutely loved our visit to this lovely cottage. There was nothing lacking in terms of our comfort. All of the amenities were in place and it was so easy to become comfortable very quickly. "We loved the place. Would stay there again in a heartbeat if back this way again. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Those meals were great too. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant. The only issue we had was a cold shower that never did warm up at all. Presumably a maintenance issue that will be corrected in short order. "
