“We were booked in for a 3 night stay, but unfortunately due to illness had to curtail our visit. However, in the short time we were there, the hotel/bar staff were very pleasant & helpful. The dinner was very good and the bed was very comfortable. The Garret was in a convenient position for a walk around the town/harbour etc. We fully intend to return to complete our visit to the lovely area.”

“Stayed over for one night passing through on a cycling trip. The host was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful storing and charging our bikes. Only open for B&B but fortunately the local tearoom opens on weekend evenings for meals. Well stocked community shop next door and community pub at the end of the street. Great village and area.”

“This reservation was only partially completed. Left quietly. One small bedroom with a macerating toilet. Personal space minimal and expectations of hosts seemed family-like. Not a comfortable situation for me.”

“Charming cottage style flat well decorated with interesting local art and great views out to the harbour and castle. TV a bit tricky to set up for local news and difficult to remove subtitles on bbc iPlayer. Bathroom a bit cold at times and not on same floor as bedroom and lounge. In need of some painting to upgrade. Otherwise very convenient for all amenities.”

“Location of the cottage may be too remote for some but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With the cottage set in a walled garden it was fantastic for letting the dogs out to play. Would highly recommend”
